Patrick Daugherty (0:15)

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Rotoworld Football Show. It is our week six Sunday recap episode. I am Patrick Daugherty, joined off the jump by Mr. Denny Carter, who is joined and turned by his worst enemy, an elite Caleb Williams. Denny in absolute shambles. Now, anytime Caleb plays, he's the best player in the NFL, frankly, Denny. We'll see. We'll talk about what happened between Bears, Falcons. Then we'll talk about what didn't happen between the Chiefs and the Chargers, which was the Chargers competing. Denny, they literally look like an expansion team. They do. Pretty disturbing. I mean, it's very, very, very disturbing. You have some interesting stuff on that game still, though. Then you'll ask me about Patriots 26, Jets 19 Surely AJ Brown had a successful return and did not drop four to five passes. But we'll begin in Atlanta where the Bears just resumed their path of destruction, Denny. Week one, they looked unbeatable. There was a little rainy in week two, and Caleb Williams got hurt against the Blitz Happy Vikings. They went two and one, I believe, during his absence. I can't remember. Something like that. Yeah, that's right.

Just picked up where he left off on week one. He looked unstoppable.

Is that a fair assessment of how the Bears' offense and Caleb Williams looked on Sunday in ATL?

Denny Carter (1:29)

He completed his first 12 passes.

He ended up 30 for 36 for 305 and one touchdown. It rained kind of cold on touchdowns. The Bears scored 31 points and he only threw the one touchdown because they were doing anything they wanted, really, on the ground and through the air. But yeah, I mean, he was super sharp, not doing a lot of the superhero type quarterbacking, which is honestly for fantasy purposes is pretty nice because it means that he's just like three, five step drop and release it to Burden or Loveland, who both had nice games. I think that that is better for fantasy and that's what we got today.

Patrick Daugherty (2:08)

What you're saying is Caleb admitted, he admitted that instead of just being Superman, he needs to be a check down artist. Sounds awful, actually.

Denny Carter (2:17)

Well, I don't know, check down and he still has obviously has the green light to like create when he needs to or I guess when he wants to. He wants to a lot, you can tell. He wants to do it basically on every drop back. But I do think Ben Johnson has been successful in being like, look, you need to sometimes hit your last step in your drop back and get the ball out. He did that. He did that a lot today. The Falcons defense looked awful. The Falcons, the stadium, well, it had to be 70-30 Bears fans.

They're going, oh, actually, Stefanski after the game said.

Patrick Daugherty (2:58)

He was in his feelings.

Denny Carter (2:59)

Look, we love our fans. No one's denying that. But we knew we would have to be in the silent count in the home game because nobody there is rooting for us.

That's tough.

Patrick Daugherty (3:12)

It's the only bad thing with the ticket resale market. I love that I'm able now to easily buy a ticket to any sporting event that I might want to go to Denny. I do lament though how easy it is to take over opposing NFL stadiums, especially the Rams, especially, especially the Rams stadium. It gets taken over on the reg. But we'll get to more Falcon stuff in just a minute. Bears receiving stuff, Denny.

Eight catches for 95 yards for Luther Burden third. I don't see any problem.

Aditya Foldiore (3:40)

Why are you about to tell me there's a problem?

Denny Carter (3:42)

Oh, no, no. Yeah, you should feel real bad about that. Because he was targeted on almost half of his routes today. He ran around 50 percent of the routes and it's not really what we're looking for. It basically means that Luther Burden is going to have to be super hyper efficient if he's going to get there as a wide receiver two or wide receiver three, unless, you know, his route rate consistently gets up to like 70, 75 percent and something like that.

And it hasn't. So, yes, you know, enjoy your eight catches in ninety five yards, I guess. But know that you got away with it today.

Patrick Daugherty (4:19)

Wow. Yeah. See, well, maybe people will continue to get away with it since it seems like when he is in the game, they love to pepper him with targets.

I did notice I got to be I'm not trying to like send a curse out there into the wild, but I saw one or two plays where it looked like he was doing like Kaderius Tony style route running like, dude, you were putting too much torque on your hamstring.
