Hello everybody, welcome to the Rotoworld Football Show. It is Thursday, October 15th, 2026 I'm Patrick Daugherty. Joined by Denny Carter, joined by Kyle Dvorchak, joined by Week 6, joined by several game totals well north of 50, including Bills, Raiders, Cowboys, Packers. Boy, we're really looking forward to that one. Cardinals, Rams, and several absolutely ghastly game totals. We might not even talk about some of those games. And then some big unfortunate breaking news, Jalen Hurts, as if things could not get worse for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts out for Week 6, possibly beyond with the blood clot. So a lot of big games, a lot of bad games, a lot of really big news. I will break down all that and more when we come right back after this.
We're back. And Denny, all I have to say, where's your god now?
Because for some reason, I think you like the Dodgers. They're getting woodshedded by the Brewers. Yeah, you like, I feel like baseball, you like contrarian opinions. So I'm just projecting onto you a Dodgers fandom.
Denny Carter (1:19)
Oh, no, I'm not a fan. I mean, they did nothing wrong, but.
Patrick Daugherty (1:23)
No, they did, they actually did do nothing wrong. I agree with that.
Well, OK, I'm not in favor of a salary cap. I will say I'm not in favor also of a team being run like a literal Ponzi scheme. Mark Walter, don't sue me. I know you're a pilot to just I know that's probably a loaded phrase.
I didn't say it was.
Kyle Dvorchak (1:38)
He said like it's a similar.
Patrick Daugherty (1:40)
I said, like, like, that's right. But no, you were before the air came on the air. You're saying you didn't like Brewers ball. So what? You don't like the underdog.
Denny Carter (1:48)
OK, OK. All right. It's complicated. All right. Look, I've been watching a lot of baseball this postseason, trying to keep up with the Zoomers who love baseball. And and I've watched a lot of Brewers and and I get it. I get what's happening. OK, they don't have any good players. I get it.
Patrick Daugherty (2:07)
OK, so man, it's actually untrue.
Denny Carter (2:10)
They have all off cake, you know. And when you don't, you know, you're not good. You have to fake being good. And so you you have your starting pitcher do four innings no matter what. And then you have your relievers come in. This is what they're doing. And then they don't. And then they have a bunch of little guys who are really fast, which they don't have many homers now.
Patrick Daugherty (2:31)
OK, listen, the Brewers have many like superstar players, including a few young superstar players. They do have a lot of fake good players like Bryce Terang, who is one of the absolute best players in baseball on the Milwaukee Brewers. And if you played for any team other than the Brewers or Rays, he'd be like a number eight hitter.
Denny Carter (2:48)
Oh, he's a system guy.
Patrick Daugherty (2:49)
He's a system guy. OK, like Willie Adames was for the Brewers. He went to San Francisco, and he became one of the worst players in baseball. That kind of.
Denny Carter (2:56)
All right. That makes sense. So I say Terang looks like the fastest guy live. I like like last night he beat out like a very standard groundball that made me think like, oh, no, like he he can beat any any groundball.
Patrick Daugherty (3:13)
He got bad news for you. There's like two or three guys in the Brewers line up faster than him.
Denny Carter (3:17)
Shut up. Really?
Patrick Daugherty (3:19)
Yeah.
Denny Carter (3:19)
Yeah. Wow.
Patrick Daugherty (3:20)
He's not slow, but he's very fast.
Denny Carter (3:22)
Oh, and while we're talking baseball, there's a right fielder for the Rays who has the most ridiculous arm maybe I've ever seen since like Vlad Guerrero.
Patrick Daugherty (3:32)
Interesting.
Denny Carter (3:33)
You know what I'm talking about?
Patrick Daugherty (3:34)
No.
Kyle Dvorchak (3:35)
Like since Vlad Guerrero, doesn't he still play?
Denny Carter (3:38)
No, I'm talking about the old Vlad.
Patrick Daugherty (3:41)
Vlad Senior. Montreal Vlad.
Denny Carter (3:44)
Yeah. So this right fielder for the Rays, he is so into freaking people out with his arm that he whips it in the second on a line from the warning track. The cutoff guy one time was like, can you relax?
Patrick Daugherty (4:01)
Well, apparently you're talking about Victor Mesa Jr. who's a very good young player. I didn't realize he had a nuke.
Kyle Dvorchak (4:06)
