Before this, there's this.
As you celebrate the game, take a deeper look at its roots. The people grow in the grass, bathe in the lots, weld in the goal posts, inspecting every football. John Hansen (1:26)
Hey, what's up? John Hansen here. Brian Drake and I are back with another edition of the Fantasy Points Podcast. It's week six and we're ready to rock and roll with a look at all the upcoming matchups for Sunday and Monday and two players of note. Some players looking good, like my boy Kendrick Bourne or Jeremy Bernard. Some players not looking as good like, for example, Trey McBride or Marin Hampton. Of course, he's damn near in the dirt. Thanks for liking and throw us a bone with a good review and good luck in week six and you're welcome.
Brian Drake (2:25)
All across the Fantasy Universe, it's week six. It's time for a Friday edition of the Fantasy Points Podcast where the guru John Hansen and I will look at every matchup on the slate and we'll dictate some matchups that we think we can exploit and maybe some we stay away from. But it varies game to game depending on what John finds in the Fantasy Points Data Suite. John, how are you?
I dare say I know where this is going, where at the time of recording, your Dodgers are down three games to none. But how are you, pal?
John Hansen (2:56)
I'm doing better than the Dodgers because I'm not dead.
The Dodgers are deceased. Now, it'll be interesting, people listening to this on Friday morning. I'm going to give them a 45% chance of winning, but they're not winning the series. So it's just delaying the inevitable. And tonight we have the game versus the football game, which is going to be absolute shite. It is going to be a slog fest, but I will in fact be watching the football game. I'll keep an eye on the score, but I don't think I can watch it anymore. I'm not the kind of guy who likes watching car wrecks. You know what I mean? Like, if I see one on the road, I keep my eyes ahead of me and no rubber-necking for this guy over here because it's bad. It's very bad.
Brian Drake (3:40)
You should become a Philadelphia Eagles fan for the season. If you want to do that, baby, we're looking square into the eyes of hell.
John Hansen (3:46)
You're as dead as the Dodgers. It's over.
Brian Drake (3:49)
Worse, we already had the services. We're at the spaghetti dinner afterwards.
We'll get into the Eagles, but let's start things off, John, with some matchups to avoid or matchups to exploit. You guys can use these in your season-long leads when making roster decisions. Maybe if you're doing some prop betting, you're playing DFS. There's a lot of angles you can use here with John's recommendations. So game one on our slate, these Jaguars, they never seem to leave London. They're gonna take on the one and four Texans, John, and a matchup that you're digging is a wide receiver for the Texans. No, it's not Marvin Harrison. I know a lot of people are excited about him. It's our guy, Jalen Noel, in the slot.
John Hansen (4:29)
Yeah, this is a little deep here. This is a deep cut, but I like it though. Yeah, I like them last week in the article, Hansen's hands, he was profiled as a matchup to exploit, believe it or not. I'm kicking myself for not playing the prop because he absolutely crushed it. But certainly the addition of CJ Stroud's former teammate, Marvin Harrison hurts, but I mean, come on. He's Marvin Harrison for one.
