Four teams are on by this week, but Jeff Bell and I still have much to discuss as there is a lot of NFL action. First things first, make sure you get all of the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings out of your lineup as those players are on by. But Jeff, let's go ahead and talk through game by game, every single game, as we always do on Friday mornings, and let's start with the London game. Texans playing against the Jaguars. The Jaguars are having a little home stand here in London.
As far as injuries go, we've got David Montgomery hasn't practiced this week. He's unexpected to play. Tank Dell, who has been practicing in full, doesn't look like he's going to be playing either. For the Jaguars, they're mostly healthy right now. We got Nate Borchertscher is dealing with a limited participation throughout practice with a back injury, but it seems like the Jaguars should be at full go, at least as far as the fantasy relevant guys that we care about. So let's start with the Jaguars. You know, we talked about it a little bit over the last few weeks. It seems like Bayshall Tooten is starting to pull away with this backfield. How high do you think the ceiling is for him? I came out with a video earlier this week talking about Bayshall Tooten being a second half of the season RB1. Do you think I oversold that a bit?
Jeff Bell (1:16)
No, I don't think you oversold it. I think that that's the ceiling.
He obviously doesn't have the top half, RB1 ceiling built into it. He's probably not going to see that passing volume, but at the same time, the entry bar from where he's sitting to being a top 12 running back, I mean, Ash and Jesse is kind of sitting right there and he's struggling through games. He's not giving the big explosion weeks. We really are, and you do get the sense that this is right now is the difference between paying attention to the usage and seeing the patterns there versus actually looking at raw fantasy points because I'm seeing a lot of hand wringing about. Bichal Tutin was a bad fantasy pick, and Bichal Tutin is a player to be concerned about when we're digging through the usage. We're like, man, this is trending to the way that we are just, there's going to be one of these games. He just blows up.
Dave Kluge (2:06)
As for the receivers, we've gotten some clarity here as well, at least relative to our preseason expectations. Brian Thomas, from the outside looking in, Jeff, kind of hard to believe, you know, he's only played 48% of the snaps this year. Like, he is a part-time player in this offense. Meanwhile, we got Josh Cameron right now, looking fantastic in this offense, top 10 in both yards per outrun and yards after the catch per reception. Of course, Parker Washington is going to get his. Jacoby Myers is out there as a full-time receiver. Are we at the point now where we're just like flat out benching Brian Thomas Jr. because I had to make that decision in quite a few leagues and in some shallow leagues, but we haven't seen him outright dropped.
Jeff Bell (2:43)
Yeah. I mean, I don't know if he's made Sigmund Sabotage drop yet, but right now, at this point, it's not far from being off there on the Sabotage block. So Sigmund, you're checking this out. Maybe that's an idea for you to potentially check out. But yeah, you're benching him. You can't play him at this point. I mean, the Jaguars can't play him. The Jaguars aren't playing him. And it's ironic that they're playing, guess it would be ironic that they'd either be playing the Texans or the Cardinals this weekend. But it's ironic that they're playing the Texans this weekend. Do you get the sense that his time in Jacksonville is pretty limited at this point, unless he's just completely tanked his trade market?
Dave Kluge (3:20)
Yeah, no, I think there's a lot of teams that can benefit from a guy like Brian Thomas Jr. Washington would make a little bit of sense. I think you tweeted about that yesterday, just kind of reuniting with Jaden Daniels. I think that would make a lot of sense. But there's some other teams out there that I think that he can fit in. But then, you also have to wonder, the Jaguars are contending right now. Are they going to want to move a guy like Brian Thomas Jr. to a potential contender? I think Brian Thomas Jr. would make a lot of sense for Seattle, who desperately needs a wide receiver, too. But are you looking to add firepower? Maybe in the NFC, it's a little bit different that you'll ship him out of the conference. But it's just like, I don't know why they'd be incentivized to trade him to any team that really needs him when they have Super Bowl aspirations of their own. So, let me just ask you, 0%, you don't think it's happening whatsoever, 100%, you think it's a done deal that they're just waiting until the deadline. What percentage do you think that it is that we see Brian Thomas trade it this year?
