I want all of you to take a moment, close your eyes, and think of the best sporting event that you've ever attended. That instead of just sitting on your couch, watching on television, you actually went to the game. For me, I was in college, Steph Curry Davidson was playing the NCAA tournament against Georgetown in Raleigh. It was like Patrick Ewing Jr., all these like 6'11 guys versus Steph Curry and these 6'7 dudes. And I was like, I have to go see this. I have to go see the guy that is launching shots from half court, even if they have no chance to win. And guess what? They won. And it was so much better, because I was actually there versus sitting at home. And you can be there in the action by using Game Time. College football is coming up, NFL preseason to watch your favorite rookies. It's all available here on Game Time. And it's not just that. Like I am scrolling to see what is available this weekend in my area.
I can go see Hilary Duff if I want to or the Dirty Govnas. I mean, whatever you want, it's here on Game Time. So get your friends together, get your tickets and tell them it's Game Time. Download, yes, the Game Time app. Create an account and use code fantasy for $20 off your first purchase. Terms apply. Again, create an account and redeem the code F-A-N-T-A-S-Y for $20 off. Find college football and NFL matchups on Game Time and download the app today.
Welcome to your Week 6 Running Back Rankings brought to you by Farmers Insurance. Hayden, this show could be very short because if you have Running Back 20 or later, it's absolutely horrifying this year and this week. But we're sickos. We're going to talk about 36 names here today because your flex matters to us.
Hayden Winks (1:41)
Yeah, I was going to say the Wide Receiver 30 range, also not the cleanest slate of names as well with bi-weeks and injuries and stuff. So we have to put somebody into our flex. So we'll be saying, of course, it's Tony Pollard over your fancy Wide Receiver, and we're going to keep this thing moving. But yeah, you're going to want the top ones, that's for sure.
Josh Norris (1:59)
Yes, that is for damn sure. Both the rankings that we do here on Wednesdays and Fridays with the Wide Receivers.
I'll also add that there has been no better recession indicator than Tony Pollard being the running back.
So I don't even know if he exists in Fancy Football. I understand he's rostered out there in 90 percent of leagues, but does he really exist in Fancy lineups? I'm skeptical. Okay. Just like the moon landing. Here we go. Ken Walker III is the running back one this week. I really don't mean that.
Hayden Winks (2:28)
I do.
Josh Norris (2:29)
K9 is off by. He's fully rested and the Chiefs here are 8.5 point home favorites against LA Chargers. This is a prime matchup.
Hayden Winks (2:37)
Yeah, he's right there. No Jameer Gibbs on this slate. So it's going to be Kenneth Walker and Bijan and Jonathan Taylor, the same suspects at the very top. He's the RB2 in usage. He's been absolutely dominant. I think that the bye week makes me feel like they're going to come out the gates and use them as they have been before. The Chargers are kind of middle of the road against Fancy running back so far, but they did allow big games to James Cook, who's the RB6. Emanuel Wilson was also the RB6 over the last couple outings here. Like you said, 25.5 point team total against the Chargers who, you know, let's face it, those coaches are, they're not even in Los Angeles anymore mentally.
Josh Norris (3:12)
Yeah, we'll talk about the Chargers backfield in a little bit. I saw Adam Gase's name mentioned today as maybe a future OC or head coach for the Chargers.
Hayden Winks (3:22)
By the way, Josh, is Mike Medina not the perfect Lincoln Riley offensive coordinator for a year in USC?
Josh Norris (3:30)
Oh, it's true.
And yet USC will still allow the opposition 45 points per game. All right, Jonathan Taylor is your running back too.
He's still in the S tier. This is against the Tennessee Titans. He has a running back 7 right now, so this is an important ranking. I think you can ask yourself why is he the running back 7 in points per game so far? Well, he's had weeks of 8.2 and 9.7 points. Hayden, we talked about like last year when this team won, he averaged around 25 points per contest. And they're kind of just winning less, a lot less this season so far.
