Welcome back, everybody, to the Footballguys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes, we give you everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football manager in your league. I'm Mike Dempsey, home with Footballguys' own Bob Harris. All right, Bob, let's start with the Cincinnati Bengal wide receivers here. T. Higgins working on a rehab field yesterday. Jamar Chase was back at practice, trying to work his way through the concussion protocol at this point.

Which one of these Bengals wide receivers do you think is most likely to actually suit up this week?

Bob Harris (0:28)

As of what we have now, it's an easy call on this. Heading into the weekend, it would be Chase. Getting on the field yesterday was a big step, assuming he remains asymptomatic. The team can take final clearance all the way out to Sunday if need be. Higgins, on the other hand, being on the rehab field doesn't seem like a good sign.

Mike Dempsey (0:43)

No, it doesn't. The other opponent, the Miami Dolphins, had Caleb Douglas basically doing the same, working on a side field. So don't expect him back here in week five. 49ers and Seahawks, Bob. Mike Evans has the rib issue limited again. Again, that's better than last week's status. Kaelin Black continues to be limited with an illness. Christian McCaffrey didn't practice yesterday. Bob, anything to worry about?

Bob Harris (1:04)

Nothing to worry about. I think we're going to see a lot of this, and we should prepare ourselves for it. It's a day of rest. It was the official verdict on this. And we're going to see players, we heard about this heading into the season, that one of the plans was not to rest him on Sundays, but to rest him during the week. It seems like they're following through with that plan.

Mike Dempsey (1:19)

Same deal with Jackson Smith and Jigma then, I suppose.

Bob Harris (1:22)

Exactly the same case for him. Big workloads lead to light work days in the week.

Mike Dempsey (1:27)

All right, and for the Seahawks as well, his teammates, Zach Charbonnet, we know is not going to play this week. They announced that early in the week. George Helani continues to be limited with a rib issue. Bob, sounds like another high volume week for Emmanuel Wilson here.

Bob Harris (1:40)

I think so. We've seen him get two opportunities to pretty much move into the lead role. He's had 21 carries in both those games. Seahawks are comfortable leaning on him, and he seems to be a really good fit for the offense. He's gotten a fair amount done with the workloads.

Mike Dempsey (1:52)

All right, commanders and the Giants, Bob. Jayden Daniels seems ready to roll. He's been a full participant in practice all week long. Terry McLaurin's still not practicing. That's not good for the commanders and his likely availability. I believe I saw Stefan Diggs didn't practice yesterday as well. Bob, what are you hearing about the likelihood of either one of these guys? Any confidence or hope for either one of the top two receivers of Washington to play this week?

Bob Harris (2:18)

Doesn't appear to be much hope for McLaurin. We've heard nothing other than he's not on the field. Diggs was on the field. He was seen there during warmups and stretching. Then he went to a side field and worked with trainers. That's at least a step in the right direction. We saw this last week with Mike Evans. We see this at times with veterans. So I'm hoping that's the case. Today's injury report will be telling.

Mike Dempsey (2:36)

By the way, the commanders released K-Tron Allen who they took this year in the sixth round of the draft. A little strange, Rashad White and Jacory Kroski Merritt are not 100 percent. That's a lot on the shoulders of Austin Eckler here.

Bob Harris (2:48)

Sounds like they're making a little bit of a gamble here. As a matter of fact, the legendary SPN's John Kime reported the team's hope is to bring Allen back on the practice squad. That plan only works if none of the other 31 teams claim it first, which means Washington is counting on the rest of the league passing on a player it liked enough to draft him in April.

Mike Dempsey (3:05)

Yeah, and sometimes there's those gentleman agreements, which I completely disagree with. Go get the player if he helps your football team. All right. The giant side of this, Najee Harris is back at practice after a personal absence the day before. Malik Neighbors was participating in practice. Remember, he said earlier this week, we'll see about his availability for Sunday. He said he was more sore than usual. Cam Scadamu got out of it on contact, Jersey Bob. That seems like a good sign for his week five availability.
