What's up, friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focus Football alongside Field Yates and Mike Clay. My name is Daniel Dopp. Excited to dive into a very fun week five rankings show, A Lot on Tap. How are you gentlemen doing today?
Field Yates (0:55)
Doing great, thank you. How are you?
Daniel Dopp (0:57)
I'm doing great as well. Michael?
Mike Clay (0:59)
I'm just fine.
Field Yates (1:00)
Just fine?
Mike Clay (1:01)
I'm just fine today.
SPEAKER_2 (1:02)
That day is up in.
Field Yates (1:02)
I think you're awesome.
Mike Clay (1:03)
Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER_2 (1:04)
You're great. Well, now I'm better. Sweet.
Mike Clay (1:06)
See, that's what I was fishing for right there.
SPEAKER_2 (1:07)
And now I got it.
Daniel Dopp (1:08)
You're awesome.
Mike Clay (1:09)
And I made a fishing reference. So I made Daniel happy too.
Daniel Dopp (1:11)
Yeah. You know what would make me happy? Head on over to our friends over at trophysmack.com. Use the promo code TROPHEWEEK5. You can use that in something like this for your belt. To be able to give out to the winner of your Fantasy League.
Field Yates (1:22)
Presumably, it will be Mike in most of the leagues that I've won.
Daniel Dopp (1:24)
That's what we think. Thank you.
Mike Clay (1:25)
You're right.
Daniel Dopp (1:26)
All right, guys, we got a couple of things we're going to dive into today. Week five rankings, I talked about. We got a bunch of stuff we're going to talk about there. Some very fun things. We got two teams on bye. So the first little bits of bye weeks are now upon us. We got a random ranking at the end of the show that is always going to be a good time. We're doing some fantasy face-offs. Last week, it was me and Mike versus each other. Field, you were the judge. This time, it's going to be me and Field versus each other. And Mike is going to be the judge.
Mike Clay (1:47)
I want to see which Daniel Dopp shows up because he evolved last week and he was very calm and kind at first. And then he was kind of in the middle and the last thing you were screaming.
Daniel Dopp (1:55)
I didn't realize I was going up against the Terminator when I was going to be doing this.
SPEAKER_2 (1:58)
So I realized I did realize.
Field Yates (2:00)
That's Mike, the most pragmatic, thoughtful fantasy analyst on the planet.
Daniel Dopp (2:03)
We got a little bit of news that we're going to get into before we dive into some rankings. Field Yates starting with one of the biggest quarterbacks we have in the league.
Field Yates (2:09)
Lamar Jackson has a slim chance to play on Sunday night against the Falcons. Also reporting that this could be a multi-week absence. When there's reporting that it could be a multi-week absence, it makes you feel like the present week is very unlikely to happen. Tyler Snoop-Huntley will take over as the quarterback if Lamar is out on Sunday night against the Falcons, the resurgent Falcons. Mike has already removed Lamar from the projection, so if you see a zero next to him, that is by design. The only player that this really impacts from a fantasy perspective is Zay Flowers. How much of a discount can you put on Zay Flowers when the guy's been absolutely electric when he has been playing?
Not enough for him to be outside of your fantasy lineups, but certainly the optimal version of Zay Flowers includes Lamar on the field.
Mike Clay (2:53)
Yeah, Huntley's passing in his career, the numbers haven't been that great. I looked at his 16 games or 17 career games in which he's played at least 80% of the snaps, a total of 17 touchdowns, only 12 were passing. The 12 passing touchdowns in 17 games, a little under 180 passing yards per game. We know he can add value with his legs. However, two of those games were last season. And check this out. So Zay Flowers averaged 13.6 fantasy points per game, which is fine games, one pretty good game, one average game. Derrick Henry, 32.6 fantasy points per game. He had that one like four touchdown game. So yeah, I mean, I think you, you know, in the projections, obviously the offensive projection for their scoring goes down a little bit, right? Naturally, you're going from Lamar to Huntley, but they're going to give it to Henry as much as possible. He moved down a couple spots in my ranks, but he'll be fine. I'm with you.
