What up, friends? Welcome in to Fantasy Focus Football alongside Mike Clay, as always, and Field Yates. My name is Daniel Dopp. Very excited to be able to be here on a Thursday, diving into what will be Thursday football. Week 5 Preview Part 1, diving into a handful of games here, guys. First and foremost, though, how are you doing, Field? That looks so comfortable.

Oh, thank you. It is. It's not a towel. But it is one of our possibly last nice days out weather-wise in Connecticut. So I figured I'd wear a short sleeve button-down.

We had a little bit of news before we dive in to everything today. Field, I'm going to let you take it away with our first bit of news.

The Giants go to Washington, DC to play the Commanders on Sunday. And it looks like one team might be getting some good injury news. One team we're not sure yet. Malik Neymar didn't practice on Wednesday for the Giants. I'm going to use this as a chance, a blanket statement. The further we get into the season, and I know that it's only week five, I think the more likely it is that guys just don't take part in Wednesday practices, and they're airing significantly on the side of caution. But no Malik Neymar because of a sore knee at practice yesterday.

Remember when Malik Neymar all of a sudden got coy about his week one status against the Cowboys after it seemed like he was going to play all throughout training camp?

I wouldn't be surprised if there's something along the way of gamesmanship going on here. But Malik Neymar is at least a question mark for Sunday. The Giants very thin at wide receiver. It would likely be the, let's be honest, Isaiah Likely show if there is no Malik neighbors on Sunday in Washington in a great matchup. Jaden Daniels though did return to practice for the Commanders. I think every player on the Commanders 53 man roster is on the injury report.

But Jaden Daniels being upgraded from DNP to practicing on Wednesday is a good sign. The team has not yet added a veteran quarterback. And of course, Marcus Mariota is not going to play this weekend. So it sure feels like, and the rankings and projections reflect this, we'll see Jaden Daniels on Sunday against the G-men.
