All right, it is one o'clock on the East Coast, but it's five o'clock somewhere so the Happy Hour Bar is open. Mo Hassan, Michelle Beatle, I am Matthew Berry, your friendly neighborhood bartender, ready to break it all down for you in the world of Fantasy Football. Beatle, take it away.
Michelle Beatle (0:22)
I am going to take it away, but before we get to where we're going, we did have a little bit of news that broke this morning concerning Green Bay. They are placing Jayden Reed on the top of the list of the best bars in the world. So as far as their offense goes, what does that mean?
Matthew Berry (0:34)
Yeah, Reed missed last week's game. I think what this does is what we already expect. It makes a narrow passing attack even more narrow.
With Jayden Reed out, Christian Watson 26% target share, Matthew Golden 23% target share, Tucker Kraft 14%.
It's really those three guys. We already thought this was going to be a pretty good passing attack with with Wicks in Philadelphia and Romeo Dobbs in New England. And then now Jayden Reed goes down. So it's really those three guys for a team that candidly can't run the ball and can't stop anyone. Their defense has been terrible. So they're letting Jordan Love cook. And even though it was a bad game last Thursday against the Falcons from an NFL standpoint, fantasy wise, you were happy with love. You were happy with either the receivers. Tough game for Tucker Kraft. I do think he's working his way into it. We'll talk about him coming up a little bit later in the show. But while you never want to celebrate injury and we hope Jayden Reed gets back, we now know that Packard is going to be without him for four weeks at least. And that's good for the fantasy value of the three guys I just mentioned, plus Jordan Love.
Mo Hassan (1:37)
I mean, I love those guys on their own. Tucker Kraft, Christian Watson, all great players. But when you have the lowest pass protection rate in the NFL, I mean, we saw what they did against Atlanta. And that's not a world-beating defense. And he had barely any time even to go through his read. So I just think when the offense is so stagnant, can he even get the ball off? That's my question.
Matthew Berry (1:58)
Yeah, well, listen. They were, and again, junk time still counts. I just think they're gonna be, I think they're gonna be one of the more pass-saving teams in the NFL because they can't run the ball and because their defense is so bad. And that's gonna be good for fantasy.
Mo Hassan (2:09)
Beads.
Michelle Beatle (2:10)
I know, I just hate neck injury of all the, it's like probably my least favorite thing.
Matthew Berry (2:15)
I didn't know where you were going with that. When you said, like, I hate, and you did this, I was just like, there's a lot of errors, a lot of ways you could go.
Michelle Beatle (2:22)
Where could that go?
Matthew Berry (2:23)
I'm just saying, there's a lot of stuff, I've known you for a long time, and I just know a lot of the things you hate. Beetle, some of which you've shared publicly.
Mo Hassan (2:34)
I hate a lot of stuff, yeah, it's fair.
Matthew Berry (2:35)
You've shared privately with me. I'm just going to say.
Mo Hassan (2:40)
I got it.
Matthew Berry (2:40)
All right, I'm just saying.
Michelle Beatle (2:42)
Okay, fair enough. Wednesday, I'm going to get everyone, this is going to be for anybody who's new to you.
Wednesday is keep it open or close it out, get it? Bar lingo.
Matthew Berry (2:50)
Yes, that's right. We're in a bar, we're in a lounge, and right. So like you do with the tabs, are you keeping it open or are you closing it out?
Mo Hassan (2:58)
Okay, so we are starting.
Matthew Berry (2:59)
So yeah, some guys that we're not sure about, that are questionable in terms of whether you're starting them or not.
Michelle Beatle (3:06)
Do we have an answer on what we're going to do with Kyler Murray? I know the return wasn't maybe stellar necessarily, but what is it? Close it out or keep it open?
Mo Hassan (3:14)
Yeah. It's been a long time since I said that. I think less than stellar is even an understanding. The Week 3 performance, KOC has coached 73 games as a head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Nobody has had a worse single game passing success rate than Kyler Murray in Week 3 But I still have a ton of optimism because I believe he has the most talent and presents the most opportunities for a guy like KOC, especially using his legs and the way that opens up the entire offense. Whether Justin Jefferson plays or not, I'm also very big on Jordan Addison. I think he's one of the best route runners in the league. Excited to see him develop as a number one option if he's called to do so.
