Hello, everybody.
Patrick Daugherty (0:16)
Welcome to the Rotoworld Football Show. It is our week four Sunday recap. I am Patrick Daugherty, joined off the jump by Denny Carter. I will then be joined by the rest of the Rotoworld Football team that had eyes on every game today, every fantasy relevant player, every football player, every football player.
I'm going to be joining them today. Every day, every fantasy relevant player, a lot of injuries again. Denny Carter, a lot of weird stuff again. Bears 23, Jets 12 Some absolutely unbelievable stats and facts coming out of this game. I won't steal your valor on that one. And 49ers Broncos, I was seeing increasingly desperate texts and posts from people watching this game. Like lots of Bo Nicks cries for help. Denny, it seems like the watch is getting tougher and tougher there.
Davis Webb, I'm sure everything's fine. I'm sure Davis Webb is just going to be just fine.
Denny Carter (0:58)
I'm sure everything's fine.
Patrick Daugherty (0:59)
It's going to be just fine. It's going to be definitely just fine for the Eagles. Blew a 20 to 10 halftime lead against the Rams, went for 12 on third down. It seems literally inconceivable.
Denny will ask me about that one at the end of our hit. Denny will start the show with how the Bears started their show against the Jets. Ben Johnson, burrowing deeper and deeper into evil genius Phil Belichick mode, it sounds like.
Kyle Dvorchak (1:27)
We talked on last Tuesday's show about how Ben Johnson is very online, and he is seeing everything. He's absorbing everything. The chip on his shoulder could not be bigger, and we got further confirmation of that because he started with the first offensive snap of the game for Chicago, and he split out Tyson Bajans at wide receiver.
I'm thinking, what's going on here? He actually commented on this after the game. By the way, Case Kingdom gets the victory here because he was the starter. Congratulations, Case.
Patrick Daugherty (2:02)
Just ruining Tyson Bajans' stats, too.
Kyle Dvorchak (2:05)
Right. Right. So Tyson Bajans still never won in the NFL.
So this is what Ben Johnson said after the game, quote, Well, I got all these memos saying that Tyson Bajan was starting before I even made an announcement. So I wanted to get Case out there. It was like a ceremonial first pitch, handing off the torch. I mean, you know what this is. OK, let me translate that for you.
You can't tell me what to do.
Patrick Daugherty (2:29)
No, no, no.
Kyle Dvorchak (2:31)
That's what he's saying.
Patrick Daugherty (2:32)
What a psycho. I see that mostly complimentary. But like that is true. Like, what a psycho mode.
Kyle Dvorchak (2:39)
I mean, it works, I guess, you know.
Patrick Daugherty (2:42)
Yeah, I mean, it's week four. The Bears have now won with three different quarterbacks. So that seems like they won Sunday. They are just toying with the Jets.
Kyle Dvorchak (2:50)
They were.
Patrick Daugherty (2:51)
That was an unbelievable anecdote. But the most unbelievable thing come out of this game was something you told me I couldn't even believe. The Jets time of possession.
What was it? What were the Bears doing on offense?
Kyle Dvorchak (3:04)
Well, the Bears were converting every first down and doing it slowly and playing at a very slow pace. The Jets had the ball for 17 minutes.
Patrick Daugherty (3:14)
I actually don't think I've ever heard of that.
Kyle Dvorchak (3:16)
They ran three plays in the first quarter.
Patrick Daugherty (3:20)
But it was not the seven. It was like a short 17 It was 17-15.
It wasn't like 17-51. Denny was not rounding down. 17-15.
Kyle Dvorchak (3:31)
I mean, it was unbelievable and it led to a miserably low volume day for the Jets offense. Only 15 pass attempts for Geno Smith. He completed eight of them. One of them was a long touchdown to Isaiah Williams, who no one had in their lineups, unfortunately.
But he's playing a lot with Adonai Mitchell out with a finger injury, one of the worst things that's ever happened.
Patrick Daugherty (3:54)
I mean, I was truly in ruins. I think Mitchell's things are ruining my life.
Kyle Dvorchak (3:58)
Like I can't think about it or I just I get really worked up.
Yeah, you know, Garrett Wilson didn't get there. Braylon Allen didn't get there. Braylon Allen did see all 14 running back carries in the Jets back. He got that going for him. He ran a lot of routes, saw a couple of targets, caught both of them. But yeah, I mean, so his his role seems to be really solid just going forward.
