Nice to see you Daniel. Sorry that I'm not in Bristol, but I am still happy to be here because it was like a topsy curvy, weird, but very wonderful day for Fantasy and Football in Week 3

Yeah, some of us got some dubs. We love being able to talk about that. We're going to dive into all the things, a quick rapid reaction. First and foremost, though, a quick peek behind the curtain. In case this is your first time listening. It's Sunday night, about 8.15 my time, 5:15 PM, Liz's time. We're diving straight into the stuff that we saw. Not really a deep dive necessarily, but a little bit of a rapid recap of all the things that we saw from this week. So Liz, with that, let's dive in to our very first, what the fantasy?

Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

Liz Loza (1:34)

Well, let's start, Daniel, with Jamir Gibbs. I mean, you must have been out of your mind in the best way possible while watching him roll up 40 fantasy points.

Daniel Dopp (1:46)

Yeah, 20 carries, 99 yards, two touchdowns. Like I love the two touchdowns. It wasn't super efficient on the ground. That's okay. He makes his plays where he makes his plays. The big thing is, man, through the air, seven catches for 65 yards and a receiving game touchdown as well.

Three total touchdowns for the second time this year, 41.4 fantasy points. The dude was just unbelievable. He is clearly making the case as to why he deserved to be 1.01.

Liz Loza (2:14)

100 percent. And also ironically, I was watching this game with some Lions fans. We'll get into that on Facts vs. Feelings this Thursday. A little tease, if you will. And your fan base is so fascinating because I thought they were going to be thrilled jumping up and down. And yet they were, but they were also like, you know, this isn't going to last. No knuckles there to support him. Dan Campbell's just going to run him into the ground. And I was like, yo, just can you be happy in the moment, please?

Daniel Dopp (2:41)

Girl, I'm so glad that you weren't here pre-show because I said to our producer, should I be worried about how many touches Jameer Gibbs is going to have at the end of the season? So I'm glad. That's all right. I want to be excited now. We'll worry about, that's next year's problem, right? Right now, we are living in Jameer Gibbs world.

We love a punting on the problem, 100 percent.

That's right. What about you, Liz? What's your WTF moment?

Well, I thought it was fascinating that Deebo Samuels could register 80 yards and yet not record a single reception. Zero.

Zero reception. So we had 80 yards and a touchdown with technically zero catches or zero targets because Mike Evans lateraled the ball to him. So there was this box score anomaly. We are going to get into the 49ers in a little bit, but Deebo Samuel doing wide back like things. And we love to see it, especially on a day when Mike Evans exited and Deshawn Stribling obviously still on IR. The 49ers will host the Broncos in week four. So Deebo Samuel looking rather fantasy relevant despite not having a lot of receiving volume next week.

I think it's going to be really fun to see this week. And by the way, if anyone's listening to this, now is your call to action. I want to know because he didn't have a reception on that play.
