On today's episode of The Ringer Fantasy Football Show, Patrick Mahomes did it again. Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels are hurt.

I forgot to think of a third thing. That guy on the Cowboys got his balls smashed. We go through all this and more after the break. This episode is presented by Verizon. Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz, and I'm joined by Danny Kelly, Craig Horlbeck, and that was a weird intro. It's late. It is over time.

SPEAKER_1 (2:49)

The Chiefs just beat the Colts.

Danny Heifetz (2:50)

It's 33 to 30, and it took so long that it's broken my brain.

I don't know what year it is because the Chiefs are just an inevitable, unstoppable winning machine, and the Chargers fumbled six times and a bunch of others. Like, I mean, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers are kind of passive, aggressively blame each other for losing a football game. I don't know if it's 2018 or if it's 2026, TK.

Danny Kelly (3:11)

Time is a flat circle. I once heard.

Yeah, the Chiefs look good. I look I actually was pretty impressed with the Colts in that Sunday night game, but the Chiefs are inevitable over time. Never give the ball back. It's like never having never starting a lot land war in Asia. Why are you giving the ball back to Patrick at home with three minutes left in overtime?

Craig Horlbeck (3:28)

Yeah, I don't care that it was fourth and eight. It's like, you know, if you kick that field goal, you're losing the game.

SPEAKER_1 (3:33)

Like, oh, come on, you're giving him shit for that.

Danny Heifetz (3:35)

He they called to play. And if there was going to be a blitz, they were going to go for it. I actually respect that they even tried better than Aaron. Aaron Glenn would have just ran the clock out.

Craig Horlbeck (3:42)

OK. Aaron Glenn's a horrible coach. I don't know why that's the comparison. They call a timeout, run a different play. You're guaranteeing a loss. You're on the road. It's Patrick Mahomes.

Danny Kelly (3:51)

Everyone, literally everyone on Twitter was like, oh, there's no way in hell the Chiefs aren't scoring here.

Craig Horlbeck (3:56)

Both teams are just marching down the field.

Danny Kelly (3:59)

Everyone knew immediately.

Craig Horlbeck (4:00)

It's a good thing the Chiefs won because I think if the Colts won, I don't really know what my takeaway would be. Like, it'd be weird. Like, I feel like I just assumed the Colts are going to win the game, the whole game. I mean, the Chiefs are going to win the game the whole time. And then when the Colts just kept hanging around, it made me consider if the Colts are actually a good team and that, you know, the Colts we saw from last year, the first eight weeks, I don't think they're that, but they're, they might be closer to that than some opposite version. I thought that the Colts were really impressive today. And Mahomes and everything was great and he looks awesome. And Kenneth Walker's unstoppable. And it's like a completely new offense. But Ben, Colts, you got to give it to them. No, Alec Pierce. Like, they looked pretty good today.
