Hey, let's chat about choosing the best tool for the job. When the pressure's on, you find out what's really built for the moment. That's true late in the fourth quarter of a big game, and it's true when there's work to get done on a deadline. On the job site, conditions change, the clock keeps moving, and the tools you reach for have to be ready to handle it again and again. That's why DeWalt tests its tools under real world conditions that push even the best tools to their limit. Only then does a tool earn the DeWalt badge.
So when the pressure is high and the work needs to get done, DeWalt tools are built to perform, built to last, and built to finish strong. DeWalt Guaranteed Tough. Available at the Home Depot. How doers get more done.
What's up friends? Welcome to Fantasy Focus Monday Morning Rapid Recap. I am Daniel Dopp here with the incomparable Liz Loza. Hello Liz.
Liz Loza (1:02)
Hello Daniel. We get to be together for this record.
Daniel Dopp (1:04)
Yeah, very exciting. Usually you're in LA. Today, I am looking in your eyes in the basement of Bristol, Connecticut's ESPN building.
Liz Loza (1:11)
Four.
Daniel Dopp (1:12)
Yeah, we just got to watch a lot of football games together.
Liz Loza (1:14)
We did.
Daniel Dopp (1:14)
We're gonna talk about a lot of them now.
Liz Loza (1:16)
Sure.
Daniel Dopp (1:16)
Let's dive into our WTF moments of the week.
SPEAKER_3 (1:20)
Boy, that escalated quickly.
SPEAKER_4 (1:23)
I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Daniel Dopp (1:26)
Liz, are we seriously still doing this with the Falcons quarterback?
Liz Loza (1:31)
Well, I don't know how much longer we're gonna have to, but I have a feeling that you are upset with the entire offense.
Daniel Dopp (1:36)
You have a feeling that you are, that is factually correct. I have a feeling.
Liz Loza (1:40)
Why do you want to unsubscribe?
Daniel Dopp (1:41)
I would like to unsubscribe. Thank you, Liz Loza. I appreciate this. Listen, the entire Falcons offense looked awful. Once again, Cooper Rush, not serviceable at the quarterback position, did not get it done for the second week in a row, not for his own value, but for the value of everyone else that we care about. B'Jaun Robinson got bailed out in week one by a ton of receiving game work. Drake London did not get that lucky. And then again in this week, okay, at least four for 51 on five targets, 8.9 is better than nothing, but that's not where you drafted Drake London to be. He needs to be someone that is averaging closer to 15 fantasy points a game for your fantasy squad. Kyle Pitts only one for 15 on three targets, Liz. Another guy that we drafted as a tight end one through the first two weeks of this season.
He has 2.5 fantasy points.
That's terrible. So I understand, yes, we'll get Michael Pennex back soon. I definitely want to unsubscribe from this offense, but if we get Michael Pennex back, I've gotta roll it out there and trust it one more week. I've gotta say, we gotta practice patience. I don't want to do that.
After these two first weeks, with what I just had to live through for the Atlanta Falcons skill position players, I want to be done. But we gotta wait a little bit longer, as much as it hurts. And hopefully with Michael Pennex back under center, things will be better, because if I have to live through another week of Atlanta Falcons football like that again, Liz Loza, I'm gonna lose my mind.
Liz Loza (3:02)
All three star players on the Falcons posting under 12 fantasy points apiece. That's no good.
Daniel Dopp (3:08)
What about you?
Liz Loza (3:10)
Well, my biggest WTF moment came via the quarterback position. I'm gonna go a couple of places, get ready for a journey. If you look at the top producers from a fantasy perspective at the position, they go Josh Allen, we know that, right? Thursday night was wild. Jared Goff, understandable, same game. Then Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, Bryce Young, Tyler Shuck, Drew Locke, Kirk Cousins, Cam Ward, Deshaun Watson, CJ Stroud, and then finally a name I recognize and probably started Joe Burrow.
Whoa, do you know who's not on that list? Who? Caleb Williams, who put up a monster 37 fantasy points in week one. In week two, 7.7 fantasy points. He completed 15 of 26 for 138 yards, zero touchdowns, but he did manage an interception and three sacks. I should also mention, bearing the lead a little bit here, he exited the contest in the fourth quarter with what is being reported as a hamstring injury though. It looked a lot worse.
