College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky. Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 in 55 seconds.

When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for this day.

Hey, what's up? Week one is just about in the books. Brian Drake and I are back with another edition of the Fantasy Points Podcast, a week one review.

We break it all down, all the action from Sunday. Pretty good week in the National Football League. A lot of scoring, a lot of interesting developments and emerging players. We covered it all. So thanks for subscribing and hook us up with a good comment if you have a moment. And as always, you are welcome.

Brian Drake (2:09)

All across the fantasy universe, rejoice! Football is back. Week one is upon us.

And hopefully, you guys are all listening to this, just enjoying being 1-0. We know that's not always the case though, because fantasy, football, the gods, they are a cruel, cruel bunch. But here on the Fantasy Points Podcast, we are going to give you instant reaction to all things week one. John and I will also have a quick look ahead to the waiver wire, get you guys set up for adding those players that are going to, of course, become the cornerstones of your championship run. But anyways, John, how are you, my friend? Let's bring in the founder of fantasypoints.com, the guru John Hansen. How was week one for you, sir?

John Hansen (2:50)

Well, I lost a couple of props by a couple of yards in that damn Tampa game, thanks to four turnovers. So I'm a little ticked off, but didn't get everything right. It was a pretty solid week, but I feel best about it was a good week one for a lot of our guys this summer. So we'll get into that. So overall, in pretty good spirits, but these damn props or are going to, I mean, I'm going to lose whatever here I haven't lost already from these damn props. I mean, I got to be the king of losing these props by a few or three or fewer yards like I'm the king. Like if I have 100 props decided by three or three yards, you could be damn sure 70 plus percent of them will be the losses just the way it is. But yeah, overall, it's a pretty good week though.

Brian Drake (3:45)

And I have to tell you folks, I'm just a company man, but I'm also honest. If you want to get ready for week two, the waiver wire, looking at the data from data suite 2.0, finding out what all our experts think as they grind the tape, go over to fantasypoints.com, use our code DS2, it's going to save you 15%, see, I looked it up from last time, 15% off a subscription, get you ready for week two, for props, for betting, for college football, dynasty redraft, DFS, it's all there, fantasypoints.com.

Guru, let's start things off, this is a reaction show. You and I are just going to whip through the games, talk about what happened, give a real instant reaction to our fantasy community, and let's go start things off in Carolina, where the Chicago Bears came in saying, we want to score the most points in the league, and well, they're on their way. This game had the most combined points in week one of any game in history, and it started off and really was led by Caleb Williams and the Bears ground game, something we weren't really expecting much of. We thought, oh, they're going to throw the ball over the yard with Burden and Adunze and Loveland. Well, those guys did a whole lot of nothing, John. It was Deandre Swift for a buck 24 and 3, and Kyle Menungai going for 100 yards and a touchdown. Not to be outdone, Caleb Williams got in the box twice on the ground.
