Wayne Federman (2:41)

Thank you. Thank you.

Adam Carolla (2:43)

People know Wayne as a standup. You know, Wayne is a guy from Curb Your Enthusiasm, lots of lots of acting roles as well. Teaches standup as well.

Yes, in a book.

Wayne Federman (2:54)

Teaches the history of standup.

Adam Carolla (2:55)

In the history. Told me before the show started that Seinfeld first comedian billionaire.

Wayne Federman (3:02)

It's in the book.

Adam Carolla (3:03)

It's in the book. The first.

Mom's Mabley wasn't a billionaire.

Wayne Federman (3:08)

She was very close.

Adam Carolla (3:09)

She must have gotten really.

Wayne Federman (3:10)

Yeah, very wealthy. Charlie Callis came close.

Adam Carolla (3:13)

Gung it in.

People. Well, you can speak about this. We'll get to Norm. When we were kids, we would watch TV and guys, comedians had their shtick and they had like their, they had their version of getter done or you know, your redneck or whatever. Right. And so they had guys and you'd see them on like Miller Light commercials or you'd see them on Tony Orlando and Don, you know, variety hour or something. And they do things like, what's the name? Well, you don't have to call me Johnny. Well, that's how we do it.

Wayne Federman (3:49)

Yeah. Yeah. That guy.

Adam Carolla (3:50)

Wow. And it like the Miller Light commercial was 60 seconds. And so the guy had come up and go, Johnny, to go, hey, you don't have to call me Johnny. You don't have to call me Bobby. You don't have to.

And they go, okay, that was the guy's shtick or let's see, Avery Schreiber and Schreiber and Burns or whatever they like.

Wayne Federman (4:11)

By the way, Burns was a comedy partner with George Carlin.

Adam Carolla (4:15)

Carlin.

Wayne Federman (4:16)

Did you know that? Yeah.

Adam Carolla (4:17)

No, I did not.

Wayne Federman (4:18)

Yeah.

Adam Carolla (4:18)

But that's why you're here. But they had a thing and it was like, it was a patter, but it also was a rhythm. No, huh? Yeah.

But then I start thinking back on it and go, but if you book these guys as headliners for an hour, and that's how much you do as a headliner, you do an hour, how was, you don't have to call me Johnny.
