Hi, I'm Molly Bloom, and this is Smash Boom Best, the show where we take two things, smash them together, and ask you to decide which one is best. Today, it's park versus park. One is a splashy place with slides and waves. The other, a bounce house with games and obstacles. Yeah, we're debating water parks and trampoline parks. Here to make a splash for the wonderful world of water parks is actor, Marina Squerciati.

A big wave from Chicago, I cannot wait to dive in and tell you all about the cool things that water parks have to offer. So buckle up, because I'm about to make a splash.

**Molly Bloom** (1:35)
Ooh, and here to leap into action for Team Trampoline Parks, it's lawyer and former competitive debater, Eli Kay-Oliphant.

I'm here to get a jump on things.

**Molly Bloom** (1:46)
Ho ho, and we should point out that you two are married. Are you sure your relationship won't get in the way of your debate today?

Oh, it definitely will.

Our judge today is Marvin from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Marvin has four cats, plays Ultimate Frisbee for his school, loves orange chicken, and has a 3D printer at home. Hi, Marvin.

Hi, it's great to be here.

**Molly Bloom** (2:10)
So, what kind of stuff do you 3D print?

**Marvin** (2:12)
I mostly print figurines from video games, like Pokemon figurines and figurines from a video game called Hollow Knight. But I also print some fidgets, too.

**Molly Bloom** (2:25)
Very cool. So, you also are a musician.
What instruments do you play?

**Marvin** (2:30)
I play piano, drum set, and percussion in my school band.

**Molly Bloom** (2:34)
Fun. What's your favorite percussion instrument in school band?

**Marvin** (2:38)
Probably the chimes.

**Molly Bloom** (2:41)
Oh, very fun. So, that's like where it's kind of like, whoo, and it's a nice little accent.

**Marvin** (2:47)
No, that's the big bells that hit with hammers.

**Molly Bloom** (2:50)
Those are cool. I sound like big.

**Marvin** (2:52)
Yeah.

**Molly Bloom** (2:53)
Okay. That's really cool. Do you have to count a lot of rests in bands?

**Marvin** (2:57)
A lot.

**Molly Bloom** (2:58)
To wait for your big moment, and you come in with those cool chimes. What's your favorite thing about playing Ultimate Frisbee?

**Marvin** (3:05)
Just the spirit that everybody has while playing the sport.
Everybody is super nice, even when one team is losing by a lot. Everybody is very supportive.

Well, which park will Marvin pick? We are eager to find out, but first the rules of the game. Every debate consists of four rounds, the Declaration of Greatness, the Micro Round, the Sneak Attack and the Final Six. After each round, our judge, Marvin, will award points to the team that impresses him the most, but he'll keep his decisions top secret until the end of the debate. Let me paint you a picture of pure joy. It's summer and there's no school. So already, we're off to a pretty great start. It's beautiful outside and you are ready for an adventure. But it's too hot to touch the metal on the playground. And there are too many mosquitos for a walk. Enter the water park.
