Will, can you hear me? Okay, it was me, my mic is over.
Mike G (0:52)
Yeah, I hear you now.
Ike Jones (0:56)
But yeah, so, yeah, you can't have that happen again. I think that changes the momentum of things. So, all right, I think that is all of the super chats that we had in here. Any final thoughts, gentlemen, before we slide up out of here for tonight? Oh, I got to do this drawing. Y'all talk, I'll get the drawing prepped.
Mike G (1:14)
I, I'm worried, Will, I'm worried, I'm worried. I had a good friend who was in media text me and he said, what is the narrative going to be on the Plains if Auburn loses the Vanderbilt?
And I'm like, the sky is going to be falling.
It's and 2 to start and then you got to go on the road at Tennessee, at Georgia, LSU comes to town and then you're at Ole Miss. Did you see Ole Miss last week? Trinidad Chambliss looks like Superman. I don't know, man. I, I think if you lose this one, I don't see a lot of W's soon. There might not be enough W's till November.
SPEAKER_4 (2:02)
That was a huge part of what we discussed and it probably influenced my prediction, maybe too much, too much, is this feels like the definition of an absolute must win for Auburn. I don't think it would have been that same feeling if they had beaten Florida last week. But yeah, that upcoming four game stretch is brutal. And for Vanderbilt, this is a tone setter for the rest of the season. But I don't know if you have that same feeling of this is a must win. The sky will be falling if Vanderbilt goes to Jordan here with a freshman quarterback and loses.
I think if Vanderbilt goes in there and gets blown out, then you'll have a sky falling moment. But this is kind of a tone setter for both teams for the rest of the season, but a real must win for Auburn. I mean, if you're not locked in for this game, as Alex Golesh in Auburn, then you're not using your head. But yeah, it's gotta be viewed. It's just, that's a brutal four game stretch for Auburn. When we were previewing the game, I was like rubbing my eyes.
Ike Jones (3:06)
Yeah, they've got quite an uphill climb if they can't get their first win in this one. And hopefully, you know, it doesn't produce anxiety, but it does give you a sense of urgency if you're an Auburn player out there for this game, to say, hey, we gotta walk away with a dub here and get ourselves righted. All right, let's get to this drawing so somebody can get themselves two tickets to this Vanderbilt game. Auburn versus Vandy going down at 3.15, I think central standard time on this Saturday.
Somebody's got to win, 15 people entered, one person's going to get the tickets. Who is it going to be?
I hope I forgot I put the hashtag in there and they just put us in the drawing. I thought it was about to win too. Darius Lee is going to be the winner this week. Darius, you know the drill. You need to be present. Make sure that you throw your name out there into the chat so that we can see that you are still here. Otherwise, I will draw again and get these tickets to somebody else. So, they can make it to us. But yeah, so having said that, Mike G is worried, Will is worried, so, so worried. Auburn, hey, Darius is here.
Mike G (4:12)
You're a good man for coming on this podcast and saying that you think that Auburn is going to win because I'm telling you, we have been doing this over five years now. And it's very rare that someone comes in from, you know, that covers the other team that says that they feel like, you know, the team they cover is going to lose no matter what the circumstances are. I mean, Auburn, this is a game Auburn should win, but should doesn't always equal will.
Ike Jones (4:41)
Yep.
Mike G (4:41)
And I have a hard time pegging down which Auburn is going to show up to this one, even at home. I thought-
