You're listening to The Drew Lane Show.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:02)
Welcome to the only show that's all about learning, music, animals, ninjas, getting stronger, sharks versus bears, and above all, karate.
**Drew Lane** (0:13)
Oh, yeah, what's poppin? We're in the deals in the d.com studios, and got some things going on we got to get into here. But First Hall Financial is our presenting sponsor. You know, Hall, Morgan's Race is the lowest. They've been in three years, and our listeners always get five-star service from Hall Financial. But now is a great time to take a call and take advantage of these low rates. That's not enough.
We're going to be announcing our Champions Club winners.
**Mike Schulte** (0:39)
I have them.
**Drew Lane** (0:40)
You do?
**Mike Schulte** (0:41)
I do.
**Drew Lane** (0:41)
Both of them?
**Mike Schulte** (0:43)
Yeah, it looks like it.
**Drew Lane** (0:45)
Two different winners?
**Mike Schulte** (0:45)
Yeah, he just, Jim just said the other name. Yeah, from Marc over there.
**Drew Lane** (0:49)
Jim didn't seem to understand the rules. Apparently not paying attention.
Boy, his attention span was really limited on Wednesday.
**Mike Schulte** (0:59)
Yeah?
**Drew Lane** (1:00)
Remember you were trying to get him?
**Mike Schulte** (1:02)
Oh, that's right. That was so weird.
**Drew Lane** (1:03)
I was trying to figure out the Rod Stewart joke that he said before the show.
**Mike Schulte** (1:06)
I know.
**Drew Lane** (1:07)
That he went like twice in and he finally got it.
**Mike Schulte** (1:09)
Yeah, or the drop that I was referring to and he totally forgot about the conversation.
**Drew Lane** (1:13)
That's right. What's going on over there?
**Mike Schulte** (1:15)
I don't know, man.
**Trudi Daniels** (1:16)
He's got a lot on his mind. He's busy.
**Drew Lane** (1:18)
Well, who are our two winners from Hall Financial? They called 866-CALL-HALL or they entered online at callhallfirst.com/baseball. Just take the baseball if you want to enter to get your mortgage looked at or refi.
**Mike Schulte** (1:36)
That's quite a long drum roll, huh? When's it gonna end?
**Drew Lane** (1:44)
You can read the names. Oh, that was it?
**Mike Schulte** (1:45)
Okay.
**SPEAKER_8** (1:46)
Charity Wright!
**Mike Schulte** (1:49)
She gets the first pick of the game. Charity Wright.
**Drew Lane** (1:51)
Congratulations.
**Mike Schulte** (1:52)
I don't know why he had to include another. Jeff Wright is her husband, so.
**Drew Lane** (1:55)
Okay, Charity, email Drew at DrewAndAndMikePodcast, no, I haven't changed the email. zoomy.com, and we'll figure it out.
**Mike Schulte** (2:07)
And then Jim had to add that he helped them buy their house and help their son buy his house, and that they're very nice people. So at least nice people are going to be sitting in your seats.
**Drew Lane** (2:15)
That's nice, except I feel like we should bleep their names now that Jim is trying to create shout outs in commerce out of this little contest.
**Mike Schulte** (2:23)
Well, I'm not going to read the whole text back and forth, right, Roberto?
**Drew Lane** (2:28)
We won't do that to Charity.
**Mike Schulte** (2:29)
It was mainly me ragging on Jim. Oh, in the second winner.
Monique Incho, I-N-S-E-H-O, Incho.
**Drew Lane** (2:43)
Hey, why did the drum roll end sooner on the second time?
**Mike Schulte** (2:45)
Because I played the six second one instead of the 14, we can do the 14 second one.
**Drew Lane** (2:50)
No, it's okay.
**Mike Schulte** (2:51)
Oh, it's already started, you can't just stop a drum roll.
**Brandon** (2:55)
I think I have to pipe in the cymbals.
**Drew Lane** (2:58)
I told that story yesterday about Mr. Ham and our very flamboyant ninth grade teacher who gave us weekly quizzes. I actually think they were daily on The Odyssey.
**Trudi Daniels** (3:10)
Kept you on your toes.
**Drew Lane** (3:11)
It was horrible. We'd read like, I don't know, it was probably like 12 pages a day or something, and then it'd be a quiz the next day. We just dreaded those quizzes so much. We were all in the same class too, which was really not good for the teacher. But anyway, the whole story about Mr. Ham, this is a couple of years after we were, I think we were seniors or something. We had him as a teacher three years ago and Alan stayed and touched them. I don't know why they occasionally talk on the phone. So we're doing bong hits high as fuck and Alan calls Mr. Ham. He's like, I'm calling Mr. Ham, which I thought, what a stupid idea. He's talking to him just like the greatest conversation ever. He hands the phone to Alec who talks to him for like 15 minutes. Then they hand the phone to me and there's no Mr. Ham on the phone. They're all laughing their asses off. Well, Roberto's created a little video, an AI edition of the story.
