Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents & A Podcast. H?

How'd you get here today, honey? What happened?

Harrison Fugman (0:15)

I actually didn't take a cybercab, if that's what you were spoon feeding me. I took a normal Uber.

Alex Fugman (0:23)

Oh.

Harrison Fugman (0:24)

Yeah.

Alex Fugman (0:24)

Why?

Harrison Fugman (0:26)

I took a normal Uber because I am Team CyberCab.

Alex Fugman (0:31)

We know.

Harrison Fugman (0:31)

I love CyberCabs.

I have noticed they have some wonky rules about things that they will not do on the road. Like what? There are certain turns that they just won't take. I haven't been able to map it out, but for example, where office is, it won't take a left on the street to get into our parking lot, and it instead wants to take a left on Lamar.

Alex Fugman (1:04)

Oh, that's tough.

Harrison Fugman (1:05)

So it's like, I think that it's opting for left turn signals and not naked lefts. And so it just gives, so my ask, to if anyone understands the rules or knows the rules or works at Tesla, I would love to know like why they're doing what they're doing, because it's still far and away my favorite experience as a passenger, but I am needing to add like a five minute buffer to my rides.

Alex Fugman (1:34)

It is interesting. When Waymo came out, I saw no like, I love this taking away. I see a lot of people posting like they really enjoyed their cyber cab experience.

Harrison Fugman (1:44)

Now, my human driver today, he took me nine blocks north of our house when we need to go three blocks south of our house.

Alex Fugman (1:58)

What happened?

Harrison Fugman (1:58)

It was this guy.

Alex Fugman (2:00)

Did you say something?

Harrison Fugman (2:02)

No, because he missed the first turn. I didn't say anything, and I was on my phone, and then he missed the second turn. And at that point, honestly, he was so like strong, big and tough looking that I just wasn't going to say anything.

Alex Fugman (2:19)

Like wherever you're taking me, buddy, I'm going.

Harrison Fugman (2:22)

I'm coming with you. We ended up out at Sammy's.

Alex Fugman (2:25)

Wow.

Harrison Fugman (2:26)

Yeah.

Alex Fugman (2:26)

And you just said, thank you so much for the ride. It was wonderful. Five stars.

Yeah. That's funny, H. All right, guys, let's get into today's episode. It's a good one. And Harrison and I, I'm thrilled to report we did our homework. We said we were going to do a taste test between Mr. Coffee and the Jura E4 and we did it.

Harrison Fugman (2:47)

And I promise this segment will not be more than two and a half minutes.

Alex Fugman (2:51)

It's simple.

SPEAKER_3 (2:53)

I got in trouble from the commenters for not keeping you guys on track.

Alex Fugman (2:56)

Oh, yeah. We did get a little long winded. Primarily him.

Harrison Fugman (3:01)

Now, that all said, I looked at the front of, we'll give the quick rundown of the test. Two Dunkin Donuts bags, one ground, one not ground.

Put them both in. You did the blind taste test and what were the results?

Alex Fugman (3:16)

It's close. I could tell which one was the Jura, but it wasn't like overwhelmingly, oh, this one's the Jura.

Harrison Fugman (3:24)

You said 10% taste difference. Yeah. So Mr. Coffee does the trick, but you still love the Jura.

Alex Fugman (3:30)

I love the Jura. It's easy. Just press the button. It grinds it all up. It's amazing. Now, somebody did comment this. I had an espresso machine. I have an espresso machine that's similar to the Jura. The best kind of beans are to get espresso roast beans. They make specific beans for espresso style coffee. I promise it makes all the difference. Now, I went to the store and I was in the coffee section and one of our neighbors on our street rolled up.

He was like, what are you doing? I was like, I'm trying to get coffee beans. Turns out he knows all about coffee beans. He knows where they're from. He knows where the best ones are from. So we sat there. I didn't even know you could do this. He pushed down on the bag. There's this little aerator type.

Harrison Fugman (4:12)

Yeah, you smell it.

Alex Fugman (4:13)

Yeah, we sat there and we smelled them all. Look at that. I picked the same one his wife likes.

Harrison Fugman (4:18)

What I couldn't believe was to our point on where the beans are sourced from. I was looking at the Duncan bag.
