Hey, folks, it's Tim Murray, and here we are. College football season, long Saturdays ahead, and staying locked in for an entire day of football takes a little bit more than coffee. Loreen's new pouch is built exactly for that, without the nicotine. It works just like the pouches you've seen before. Tuck one in and go about your day. Each has 50 milligrams of caffeine, about half a cup of coffee, plus L-theanine and Alpha GPC for smooth, steady focus with no crash. And because it's Loreen, it's also got nano-hydroxyapatite, the mineral your teeth are made of, so it gives your daily enamel support in between brushings. It's smooth energy without the jitters, and it comes in mint, cinnamon, and mango, all nicotine-free. I love the cinnamon. Give Loreen a try.
Right now, Loreen is offering our listeners up to 50% off at buyloreen.com/college.
That's buyloreen, larine.com/college for up to 50% off.

This is VSiN, the sports betting network.

We're off and running on a Wednesday evening alongside Matt Youmans. I'm Tim Murray. Got an evening of baseball. I won't say a chock full evening of baseball. We got a couple of games underway. We've got one division wrapped up. That would be the NL Central. We have another division that could be wrapped up as the show goes on, as the Dodgers' magic number is one underway against the Cincinnati Reds. Week two of the NFL season, Matt, starts tomorrow night. Week three of the college football season starts tomorrow night as well. Lots of preview action on the program. But first and foremost, how are you, sir?
Matt Youmans (2:10)
Well, you know, it's been a quiet few days around VSen. Not much happening around here, but Tim, let's raise some hell on the show tonight. Let's do that.
Tim Murray (2:16)
We could talk sandwiches. We got the most tweets we've ever gotten, I feel like, based off of sandwiches yesterday on the program.
Matt Youmans (2:24)
I tell you what, when you talk about food, that gets people excited.
Tim Murray (2:27)
That's right.
SPEAKER_4 (2:28)
It gets you excited, too.
Matt Youmans (2:29)
It gets a reaction out of a lot of people. That's in 2020, when Mitch Paul and I started doing the fast food rankings, the feedback on that was incredible feedback, you know?
Tim Murray (2:43)
That's why you were a journalist for so many years, Matt. All right, we're going to talk to our buddy, Jimmy Ott down in Baton Rouge. Anything going on this week between LSU and Ole Miss, Matt?
Matt Youmans (2:52)
Go Tigers.
Tim Murray (2:53)
Go Tigers.
We will talk to Matt Grill, go behind the counter. Brian Edwards, SEC Handicapper and Florida State hater will join us in our number two. And David Bearman with his Best Bets of the NFL week number two coming up. We're just three hours tonight, Matt Youmans. We will hand it off to Nick Mackay coming up at 10 o'clock Eastern. As mentioned, the Milwaukee Brewers took care of business last night in the NL Central with their win and the Cubs loss. And speaking of those Chicago Cubs, that's where we start our game of the night.
SPEAKER_2 (3:28)
The lights are on and the stakes are high. It's the Primetime game of the night.
Tim Murray (3:35)
No, this is not a repeat, Matt. Braves and Cubs, once again, our Primetime game of the night. We've got Shota Imanaga on the hill tonight for the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs entered this game currently in the top spot of the wild card. Lots of losing last night as we saw the Phillies lose, Padres lose, Diamondbacks lose, as well, Braves were down three. Nothing came all the way back to beat the Chicago Cubs. Right now, the Cubs, hefty favorites, or I'll say decent favorites tonight, around $1.60 here at Circa, DraftKings and FanDuel a little bit higher at around $1.62 or so.
Matt Youmans (4:14)
You never know quite what you're going to get out of Shota Imanaga. And I think his record kind of tells the story. You know, wins, losses, whatever. A lot of times that's an outdated and irrelevant number. But Shota Imanaga, I think his win-loss record tells you exactly who he is. He's 10 and 10
He's good one day, or he's good one start, and he's bad the next. He's got a whip of 112, which is solid, ERA at 388, Imanaga in his past couple of starts been really good, but against the Pirates and the Marlins, six innings allowed total of three earned runs, eight strikeouts, two walks. The prior start to that against the Reds, he got rocked, gave up six runs, three home runs, and five innings.
