This is VSiN Primetime on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network.

Tim Murray (0:08)

It is VSiN Primetime, bottom of the eighth inning, our game of the night, living up to it, Braves and Cubs. Cubs had a three-nothing lead in this game. Kevin Gausman was cruising along, and then a two-run homer made it three to two, and then another two-run homer gave the lead to the Chicago Cubs. Homers tonight, courtesy of Ronald Acuna Jr. in the sixth inning, and Ozzy Albies in the seventh inning. 4-3 is the score right now, and probably could have had a good opportunity to grab the Braves at a good price. Right now, the Braves minus 577 to win tonight, Matt.

Do you think the magic is there for the Chicago Cubs tonight?

Matt Youmans (0:53)

Cubs are down to their last four outs, and Michael Comforto at the plate, I think that price is probably about right. I'm not going to doubt the algorithm on that one.

Tim Murray (1:02)

We do have an extra-itting game. The reason we're in extra-itting is at City Field tonight, Matt. How about former Met Pete Polar Bear Alonzo hitting his 300th career home run in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game at three, and right now the Orioles up 4-3 in the top of the 10th inning, that game at City Field. Red Hot San Diego Padres, Matt, as they are chasing both the Cubs and the Phillies right now. The Phillies lost again tonight. Phillies are kind of going in reverse a little bit here.

Matt Youmans (1:36)

Yeah, not playing great baseball here at the end of the season. Phillies losing a little bit of ground. Padres have won eight in a row, trying to make it nine tonight, but they've got a long way to go here, fifth inning at Coors Field.

Tim Murray (1:46)

Petco Park could potentially host playoff games heading into today, Matt. The Padres were just a game back of the Padres, of the Phillies and the Cubs.

After tonight's result, if the Padres do win, Phillies and Padres would be tied at 83 and 68 for the second wild card out there. We're gonna get into a little NFL here in just a moment, but you can always tweet the show. I'm at 1TimMurray, Matt's at MattYoumans247.

Matt Youmans (2:14)

Do we have any tweets?

Tim Murray (2:15)

Matt, we were talking about the deli. I don't know, what's your favorite sandwich? If you were to go to a...

Matt Youmans (2:22)

Oh, that's easy. That's like a Philly cheesesteak.

Tim Murray (2:24)

Okay, a Philly cheesesteak. I would say, like, if I went to a New York deli, I'm a big salami guy, get that salami, like this tie, get on some nice white...

Matt Youmans (2:33)

I'll tell you what, the hat has a great pastrami sandwich.

Tim Murray (2:36)

Oh, I love a nice hot pastrami sandwich with some spicy brown mustard. So I joked and said, you know, some games are like liverwurst.

John Massey apparently is a big liverwurst fan. He said, I'll take a liverwurst on rye with mustard and onion. Thanks.

No thanks. Pass. No thanks on the liverwurst. No, I do not want any liverwurst out there, but we ran through some of the deli spots of the week.

Matt Youmans (3:05)

Liverwurst on rye?

Tim Murray (3:07)

Liverwurst on rye with mustard and onion. Hey, to each their own.

Matt Youmans (3:11)

Everybody's got different tastes.

Tim Murray (3:12)

To each their own. So John, go enjoy that liverwurst. I'll pass on that one.

Matt Youmans (3:16)

I would not write that in my top 100 subs.

Tim Murray (3:21)

All right, Matt, looking ahead to Monday night, you and I will be on the air next Monday night. We'll be sitting here speaking of food. We'll be chowing down on some Dom DeMarco's pizza and other goodies. Man, I was hitting it all yesterday. Had a little cannoli, middle of the show, got a little sugar rush. Oh, tremendous.

Thanks to Al over at Dom DeMarco's for being our Monday night football food sponsor. But Giants and Rams, and knowing you, Matt, and you are, you're buying in. Yesterday, we did overreaction or right reaction.

You asked, are the Giants a playoff team? And you said, not an overreaction. You thought right reaction impressed by their week one win. And now they take on the Rams who lose in week one, Matt. So what do you make of this spot here? Right now, the Giants, mostly seven. You could get a juice seven and a half out there. Giants and Rams.

Matt Youmans (4:20)

I'm tempted to take the seven with the Giants. And I want to wait to see if my seven and a half might pop up here. And again, don't forget, just a week ago, the Rams were loved by the betting public, right? When we were talking about the game in Australia, Chuck Esposito, Red Rock said, it's all Rams. All the betting action was on the Rams. So I think a lot of betters expect the Rams to bounce back here, and they might.
