This is VSiN Primetime on VSiN, the eSportsBetting Network.

Terry McLaurin, likely, well, we'll miss a lot of time.
We don't know if it's going to be season ending, but he left the game with a cast on his leg. But Chigga Konkwo, Matt, after the first stop for Washington all game, feels like all season, they are now at the 21 yard line. So Washington, nine and a half point underdogs right now. We'll see if they can get into the end zone. Matt, you want to update us on ALCS game six before we get to Doug Kezirian.
Matt Youmans (0:37)
Tampa Bay Rays had bases loaded with two outs, could not get the key hit there, but they do have a two nothing lead here, top of the third, now two outs for the Guardians with a runner on first.
Commanders and Jaden Daniels driving here, trying to tighten up this game, 13 to three, San Francisco's got the lead. I'm excited to talk to Doug Kezirian because the NBA season's here. We can look back on the WNBA season that was because that's over now, right?
SPEAKER_1 (1:03)
It's not.
Tim Murray (1:03)
The championship's going on as we speak.
Matt Youmans (1:05)
I thought that season was over.
SPEAKER_1 (1:08)
Okay. Okay.
Matt Youmans (1:10)
My mistake.
Tim Murray (1:12)
Matt, I know you were wondering. The Valkyries and Dream are tied at 33, two minutes ago in the second quarter.
Matt Youmans (1:19)
That's tonight.
Tim Murray (1:20)
That's tonight.
Matt Youmans (1:20)
I thought that season was over.
Tim Murray (1:22)
All right. Let's get to the phone line. Let's bring in Doug Kezirian as we get ready for the NBA season tomorrow. Doug, we got a triple header tomorrow, which we can get into. We got some futures looks, but I do want to start you with this because there's a lot of discussion going on. And I know in our VSiN NBA Guide, there's a breakdown on it too.
The new lottery rules. What do you think this does, can do, or is it a big unknown? What's your feel of win total betting with the new lottery odds being implemented?
Doug Kezirian (1:53)
The answer is yes, to all of that. It is a giant unknown, but that's what makes the market really soft. At any time there is variance, you should lean into variance.
And so we have this giant unknown. It's not like the odds makers have a bunch of years of data or anything like that to lean on. So this is where you, now you don't unload the bank account on it, but I think you embrace the unknown and the variance, and you can have some theories and go with it. So I'm of the belief that the bottom teams, after the All-Star break in February, these teams are winning like four or five games the rest of the year. You're looking at win percentages in the 200s, like low 200s. So I think that's not gonna be the case anymore.
I think there's gonna be, those teams are gonna sort of like run through the tape, if you will, instead of all kind of outmaneuvering each other to lose. So I think some of these teams at the bottom, like the Wizards and the Nets, will have a few more wins. So season win totals, I think that's adjusted. But also that means the teams like the Celtics and the Pistons and these other good teams are not gonna have just automatic loss or wins at the end of the season. And they're gonna have to play hard and win games, especially when they're on the second game of a back to back and all that stuff. So I think it's gonna sort of funnel stuff to the middle, a little bit, not like everybody's gonna be grouped in the middle, but I think the bottom feeders are gonna have a few more wins. And I think the top teams are gonna have a few less wins.
Matt Youmans (3:27)
Yeah, I think this change should have been made many, many years ago. We've been talking about this for a long time. So I like this for the Association to do this. Doug Kezirian with us, part of VSiN, the Action Network, many different forums you can find. Doug, hope you're feeling better, man. I heard you were sick for 10 days. Is that right? 10 days?
Doug Kezirian (3:44)
Yes, I was wiped out. It was only bad the last like four days, man. I had to call out sick, which don't do basically ever.
This is one of those things. I'm calling my brother as a doctor. I'm like, can you get me anything? He's like, you don't get it. You're an idiot. He's like, when you have a virus, there's nothing you can do to expedite the healing process. Yeah, you can treat symptoms. But I'm just like in bed trying to sleep and then you're uncomfortable, so you can't sleep that much. But I'm well now. I'm out and about, good, and it's good to get out of the house. Arthur hadn't been walked in the eight days, so it was good.
