This is VSiN Primetime. Live from the Circa Sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network.

A couple of weeks, we're going to be here for the Circa Friday Football Invitational on Friday nights.
Tony Gordon is going to be part of that. Will Hill, Matt Youmans here on VSiN Primetime, the SportsBetting Network, and Tony Gordon joins us now in studio here for Circa Football Contest Weekend. He's out of California. He's the 2021 Circa Million Champion, the best ATS record in the history of the contest. You also finished a runner-up in the Friday Football Invitational in 2023 Great to have you in studio here. By the way, you're a two-time, at least a two-time, Circa Contest Champ because you were part of or you're the head of Circa Grandissimo Co-Championship Team last year.
**Tony Gordon** (0:52)
Certainly was. And thanks for having me, Matt. Appreciate you. Yeah, what a run last year, too. We had a dream team. I was a co-captain. And we had a couple of entries we started with. And by the, went out to Week 5 with Arizona and everyone else in the world, right? In Week 5 And we managed to get one through. And all went out on Thanksgiving like everyone else, which was great. I mean, we wanted to push it, but we knew Thanksgiving at that point with Baltimore down and us on the line in Philly. If we won, we'd make it through with three. If not, we'd all go out and I'll take the 6.9 down. And we did, 1.25. I think 1.15 each.
Yeah, great. It was great. I love the contest.
It's something I look forward to every year.
**Matt Youmans** (1:36)
Circus Grandisimo had 69 entries last year.
You were part of a team, six teams tied for the win, and you split over $1 million, or you took home over $1 million a piece, 6.9 total in the pot. Right now, it's got 33 entries, Grandisimo, this year. Mike Palm joined us at the start of the show tonight, the VP of Operations here. Mike Palm said it's gonna hit 100 entries this year. That's his prediction. Do you think so?
**Tony Gordon** (2:06)
Absolutely agree. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, a lot of the late money is gonna come in here, you know, towards the last week of the season, before the season. And that's when you'll see this number jump up. I think it'll, you know, it'll double.
Where are we at, you say? 36 now?
**Matt Youmans** (2:18)
33 when we started.
**Tony Gordon** (2:19)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll hit 100 Out of 35, yeah. I think we're gonna get up to 120, to be honest with you. I think it'll pass it up, yeah. Looking forward to that. 12 million, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
**Matt Youmans** (2:28)
I got knocked out in Circus Survivor last year on Black Friday with the Eagles. That's the same one you had?
**Tony Gordon** (2:34)
Same game, same game.
**Matt Youmans** (2:35)
Now, the strategies are quite different for Circa Grandismo and Circus Survivor, correct?
**Tony Gordon** (2:41)
Correct.
**Matt Youmans** (2:41)
How would you explain the difference?
**Tony Gordon** (2:43)
Smaller fields, you know, you got to be a little much smaller field, got to be a little tighter, you know, in order to win something with a big field like the main, you know, you kind of got to got to take some chances. So, you know, with a field of 69, you can be a little tighter, be a little more confined. And we were really chalky for the most part all year. And, you know, honestly, the six of us, the reason we all tied is because we were all very chalky.
So, you know, if you really want to win these things, you had to take some chances.
**Matt Youmans** (3:13)
How about the Cirque of Million and Survivor? How many entries will you be involved in this season?
**Tony Gordon** (3:19)
We got the full boat of 10 on the Survivor, and I've got six millions entries.
Are you asking me why not 10? It's just too much diversification for me. I got the six, and I think that I can lean on a good handicapping process for those six, but more than that, it's just too much diversification.
**Matt Youmans** (3:37)
All right, Will Hill, let's get an update here on our Primetime game of the night, Red Sox Yankees. I see Cam Schiltler just allowed a double. He has two outs though in the third, and will still scoreless in the Bronx.
**Will Hill** (3:51)
Yeah.
Yankee unders have been a good trend in the last two or three weeks. Although I would say last couple nights, some oversprinkled in here with a few eruptions both by the Yankees and their opponents. But for the most part, Matt, this has been a team, you know, sometimes when we do these shows together and just in general, it's you look up at these scores, six inning, it's one, nothing. It's one, one. The pitching is really good. The offense without Aaron judge. And it's funny, Aaron judge in his absence is almost proven to be the MVP more than when he plays, because it's just, it's one of the worst offenses in the league without judge. But they're, you know, they're a playoff team. They're getting enough from the pitching and Rice, who has cooled off a little bit. But runs are hard to come by a lot of times in these Yankee games.
