The top of the hour, it is VSiN By The Books. Dave Ross right here at the mid-game, we call Franklin, Kentucky, inside our VSiN studio, overlooking beautiful circus sports behind me. He is our closer, Jensen Lewis, back home in Cleveland, Ohio. Lots to get to, including Mike Ferrin's going to join us later on this hour, we're gonna be talking all things World Series, getting ready to kick that off on Friday. And how about Kelley Bydlon? Gonna tip it off tonight in the Association. Kelley will join us here a little bit early before his numbers game duty with Gil Alexander later on in the morning, right here on VSiN. But Jensen last to get to, including last night, the Niner's still perfect. It was not pretty and it got dicey, but that's where we began our Highlights and Headlines.

Help your bottom line with today's Highlights and Headlines.

Dave Ross (1:02)

I mentioned yesterday in the program that there were 14 that came back from double ditch and one right on a football Sunday. We almost had a team down by 20 last night in the second half and come back and win. That was the commanders. They don't get it done, though. 23-17 is the final. It actually looked like they had scored the tying touchdown with the PAT to come, but it was a face mask penalty that took that touchdown off the board. So if you're a commanders backer, like we were right here on the program, you get that one home. If you're a Niners player, though, all that matters.

Hey, baby, we're perfect. We're 6-0 and we have command of the NFC West.

Jensen Lewis (1:40)

So the Week 6 ATS report is in now with Monday Night Football's results. If you had the seven and a half, boy, you're counting your lucky stars there as a commander backer for sure. But if you were playing dogs all week, Dave, a very profitable week for you in the National Football League, eight, four and one ATS according to our good friend, Dave Tooley at vson.com.

Favorites, just seven and six straight up. Again, we had a fair amount of upsets out there too. Overs, slightly a winner, seven, six and one after the underhits on a high total yesterday. Now, Dave, through six weeks, we kind of have a large sample to look at.

Favorites straight up, 55, 35 and one with two pick-ups, but underdogs covering at a 56.5% clip, 48, 37 and six. Overs have led just by a tad, 47, 44 and two.

Dave Ross (2:34)

An underplay last night though, with that win here by the commanders. And again, maybe it could have been an over there at 52, if the Niners had capitalized in some of those opportunities they had early, but it's the commanders that get the money and underplayers cash those tickets as well. Cash those tickets if you had the raise to win the ALCS, if you had Freddy Peralta last night, 27 to one, cash that to win the MVP. But now they are going back to the dog roll as they get ready for the World Series to begin on Friday. It is the Brewers right now, about $1.60 betting favorite after the raise finished off the Guardians last night in six games.

Jensen Lewis (3:10)

Yeah, interested to see where offense is in this World Series. It would be great to catch up with my fellow colleague, Mike Ferrin there at MLB Network Radio. I'm sure he'll have some thoughts on the pitching matchups and how both offenses try and encounter what are probably the two best and deepest pitching staffs, Dave, in this postseason. That includes some of the other teams from early on here in 2026 playoffs. But a stat that continues to jump out to me, Dave, actually there's two of them. Teams that score four or more, which the Rays did last night in this postseason, 24 and three. So you get to that magic number of four. It has been nearly a win every single time. And then teams now, when they hit a multi-homer game in the postseason, as the Tampa Bay Rays did last night, 17 and three. Yanni Diaz going deep and Junior Comanero being able to get that multi-home run game in for the Rays. So just a couple early statistics. If you're thinking about looking ahead to Friday night, all indications are it'll be Jacob Izarowski for the Brewers, Andrew Rasmussen for the Tampa Bay Rays. And what is already, Dave, one of the most expensive get-in prices for any sporting event. Tickets to game one in Milwaukee, $2,809 to get in. For reference, the Super Bowl this past year, $2,600.
