This is VSiN By The Books, on VSiN, the eSports betting network.

Dave Ross (0:14)

It is the Tuesday edition of VSiN by the Books. Dave Ross right here at the mid-gaming hall, Franklin, Kentucky, inside our VSiN studio, overlooking circus sports. He's our closer, Jensen Lewis, back home in Cleveland, Ohio. Hey, all good things must come to an end, but a heck of a run for the Guardians. But we do have the World Series set, and week six of the NFL is in the rear view mirror, and we're getting ready for opening night of the NBA.

Jensen Lewis (0:39)

Yeah, let me quote the great Dustin Swedelson, cannot wait to see the ratings for the Dodgers are bad for baseball crowd here for this World Series. If you want some perspective, the get-in price just for game one on Friday is north of $2,300.

That would be more expensive than the get-in price for some Super Bowls here in recent memory. So if you want to know what the fervor is like for those in Milwaukee, yeah, pretty good. By the way, I have a startling series, exact the number from opening day for this World Series matchup. I don't know if anyone had that forecast. If you did, we will certainly want to know who ends up winning all these NFL football games to win Circus Survivor as well.

Dave Ross (1:24)

Going to have a great guest list here on a Tuesday, Matt Youmans, as he does each and every Tuesday. We'll join us early this morning here back in Las Vegas. Mike Farron back in the program here to talk about the World Series starting on Friday. And that game one will be in Milwaukee. Paul Kelly back in the program on a Tuesday. A lot of injury news that we'll get to here with quarterbacks around the league, certainly one in Philadelphia. What would you do for your lineups there? And Kelly Bedlin, yes, he's getting up even earlier to join us before he does a numbers game today with Gil Alexander to break down opening day of the Association. But still perfect, perfect week for us. That's where we kick off today's edition of our Highlights and Headlines.

You win, but you don't cash all the tickets if you're a Niners backer last night, but they don't care about that. They just care about the W, and they get it to improve to 6-0, 23-17. It got dicey late. Big lead here for the Niners. Had a hold on in the second half. Jaden Daniels and company had a chance and had a go-ahead touchdown, called back on a holding call and then could not get back in the end zone. And it's the Niners who improve to 6-0. Commanders won 4-1.

Clock issues again in this game for a second week in a row. Down in distance, we'll get into all that.

But to the victor go, the spoils and Jensen a commanding lead in the NFC West.

Jensen Lewis (2:54)

Yes, it is a week six in the books now all together. And PrimeTime dogs continue to be cash cows, right? Didn't get the outright win. But still another cover here. And hey, for all intents and purposes, Dave, this one could have been a bit more hairy for San Francisco, if not for that vaunted pass rush that really was on display most of the night. So San Francisco 6-0. This is a massive lead now in the NFC West.

Dan Quinn, does he coach here in week 7 for the Washington commanders? I think a lot of people there in DC wondering if yesterday was the final act of a really tough start to this year. Yes, you got all kinds of injuries they've dealt with, including a scary one for scary Terry McLaurin yesterday. Really, really sad to see him get carted off there. But bottom line, if you were betting dogs this week, Dave, eight, four and one ATS, according to our good friend, Dave Thule, favorites just seven and six straight up. So week of the dog, I got to believe one, Matt Youmans was very happy, very much an underdog player, his own rights. So what a start here in the Bay area for the 49ers.

Dave Ross (4:06)

A great week for us five and O in the contest here. First time we've done that and speaking of dogs, I went eight one and one in the ATS plays given out on this very program. And yes, eight of those selections were dogs and they were barking. And we talked a lot about them last week and why I've been playing a lot of those dogs in the last couple of weeks. How about the Rays? They get it done. We get an overplay in this one as well. And it's all over for Cleveland. It is Tampa Bay moving on. And as I mentioned yesterday, Freddie Peralta, if you took him 27 to one, cashed those tickets. How about that Jensen?
