Keepin up, rollin on a Tuesday morning, VSiN by the Books. I'm Dave Ross right here at the Midgaming Hall of Franklin, Kentucky, inside our VSiN studio, overlooking beautiful circus sports. Behind me, he is Jensen Lewis, in a very happy city this morning, the city of Cleveland. And dare I say, Jensen, are they finally focusing now on baseball, more so than football?

Jensen Lewis (0:31)

That'll never happen. The Browns could be winless, and it'll still be topic number one. But hey, it has been a surreal dream, that I don't think anyone wants to wake up from here in Northeast Ohio. A huge win in ALCS game one last night. All eyes of the baseball world solely on Tampa Bay, as they are the lone game of the night for game two.

But boy, the NFL continues to reign supreme, man. I think we had the game of the year last night, and they need a little extra time to decide who that winner was as well.

Dave Ross (1:01)

Don't know if we'll see a rematch of this come February, but maybe a really good one possibly on display last night. That's where we begin, our highlights and headlines.

Jensen Lewis (1:11)

Help your bottom line with today's highlights and headlines.

Dave Ross (1:20)

Kind of a sluggish start, and then these heavyweights really got to swinging in the second half here. It's the Bills that get the last punch in, 37-34. Cash all those Moneyline tickets if you had those. The overs, it soars over that total. Again, after that slow start in the first half, Rams had their opportunities. They're debating it right now. Sean McVeigh, I'm sure, is debating it too. Why didn't I take the ball in overtime?

But they didn't. They kicked to the Bills in that extra possession for Buffalo after each team got stopped. One on a fumble, one on a block kick. That ultimately is the decider as Buffalo wins it on a kick, 37-34 Jensen.

Hey, look, at two and three for the Rams, I know we're all penciling them in for the postseason. You better start winning more of these games because, as Bill Parcell says, your record is what it says it is, and right now you're underwater.

Jensen Lewis (2:08)

Well, if you look at where the upcoming schedule is, perhaps it does break a little bit for the Rams in their favor. They'll have the Cardinals at home be one of the biggest favorites of week six.

Then an interesting clash in Vegas against the Raiders, who have played very well, and then maybe it is the Winless Chargers by the time they see them still before they head out to Washington to take on the Commanders and back home, or at least back in the desert against Arizona. So this portion of the schedule, if you're ever looking for a get-right spot, this is it for the LA Rams. Hasn't started the way they wanted, but I don't think they're focused on the start. It's more of the process. You saw Sean McVeigh, if you're just joining us, a very fiery press conference yesterday, not happy with it. I'm sure he slept well last night since the sarcasm. And then on the other side of it, Buffalo, you had to say that they kind of needed this one, Dave, with how New England has looked here the last couple of weeks. The head-to-head loss, they get this big one against the Rams. They're gonna stay out West and get ready for an interesting tilt against the Las Vegas Raiders upcoming on Sunday afternoon. And then they have the Ravens and the Vikings on deck. So this is a gauntlet for Buffalo right now. So a win that they desperately needed last night to stay atop the AFC East.

Dave Ross (3:25)

Yeah, and that's interesting. When it gets to in the Daily Gridiron coming up a little bit later, what we forecasted this summer, where we stand now, that Bills and Patriots won. It looks very interesting in the AFC East all of a sudden with the resurgence of the Patriots and had the Bills lost last night. Technically, the Pats would have been in first place, but the Bills hold on and get that win. And they have now moved to four and one. Woo, Dodgers going for that rare three-peat. You don't see that in sports, let alone baseball here. They've really got their work cut out for them now because they're down 0-2. The Brewers get the Bats going yesterday. Kind of a sloppy start here on both sides. Logan Henderson kind of throwing it all over the place. Dodgers has some chances early, but it's the Brewers that get the 7-4 win and go back to Chavez Ravine up two games to none.
