Top of the hour, it is VSiN By The Books. I'm Dave Ross right here at the Mid-Gaming Hall in frankly, Kentucky, our closer Jensen Lewis back home in Cleveland, Ohio.
I heard a broadcaster say over the weekend, I can't remember what sporting event it was. Maybe it was UFC, but it was basically that this is the confluence of the sports world right now, right? Maybe we're getting closer to that sports equinox that we talk about a lot here on VSiN Jensen, but really baseball, football, you name it, we got it for you. Golf out, tennis is back. Like there's so many things right now at VSiN and certainly in the sports world, Jensen, what are you to seek, sink your bedding teeth into?

Yep, absolutely. I like to thank everyone who participated in week zero. If you did it very gingerly, you probably did it right. Already candidates for a bad beat of the year and a tough little weekend slate for us on the diamond. We are still positive for the year, albeit took one on the chin Saturday and Sunday. We'll be back at it today, but we are revving up man. We'll be back at week one in college football and a lot of excitement. A couple of good friends of the program that will be calling some actually consequential games we'll have here tomorrow and Thursday as well.

Sounds great for the update on the programming. Again, we're gonna have Marty Hurney, Zachary Cohen and Will Hill on this program today. So we got a lot here in the next couple of days and certainly this week to get you ready for week one of the NFL, which will begin next Wednesday. And that's where we begin our highlights and headlines.

I mean, kids don't even know what this means when you say hot off the presses, because nobody uses a printing press anymore, Jensen, but it is and it would be hot off the press right now. This would be 2 for the NFL updated betting guide. Now that the preseason is done, you're seeing the rosters start to get formalized. It is kind of wild to see a number of teams, Jensen, for instance, caring for quarterbacks like the Brownies, like the Steelers. We'll talk to Marty Hurney, our GM, a little bit later on, which is very different from years past. But that guide is out. It's chock full of information here. You and I did our write-ups as well for teams that maybe we've readjusted some of our thought process before we get to week one in earnest next week.

A little bit of a wrinkle or two involved in this betting guide, Dave. There are 12 week one NFL betting systems that the great Steve McAnon has put out there. Remember, he was so great for us. The preseason side, a profitable preseason for yours truly, and just tailing Steve McAnon's best plays. Also a couple other things involved now. We know that a lot of people will play both circuit survivor and other pools that you're involved with, but potentially locally, Adam Burke even goes through week by week, a blueprint of all 20 weeks. If you are playing the circuit survivor and our friends over at team rankings, Dave, they also have a special little insert on how to plan for circus survivors holiday weeks now. And that is critical if you're looking to not just survive as Gil Alexander would say, but you're looking to win this competition. So you gotta plan for Thanksgiving and you gotta plan for Christmas right now when you're mapping out who you're going to use.

Yeah, that's one of the big things that's changed for me in the last couple of years. Certainly is that mentality when you get to survivor. So we'll do something like that here on our program as well. So if you're not in the big boy leagues out there, we got you covered right here in VSiN By The Books. We'll detail those, that challenge that we're going to have right here starting next week on our program.
Starting next week in Melbourne, you might be able to see Big 99 back for the Rams. Now, Sean McVeigh being coy about that, but the official announcement is that Aaron Donald is going to be a feature Hall of Famer. I don't think there's any doubt about that, probably first ballot. But he's going to be back and you've teamed him up with Miles Garrett. You can understand why the Rams are the short shot at five to one to win the Super Bowl. It's just a one-year deal, Jensen. But it does feel like this guy's not coming out of retirement if he didn't think like he's got another chance to win another championship.
