We had one of the great postseason preview duels yesterday, man. Chris Sale and Yoshi Yamamoto lives up to the hype. We were all over that game yesterday.
The Mets have officially made it to the band list for yours truly after just laying a dud yesterday. And holy hell, break up the Kansas City Royals. I'll tell you what. Yeah, the Guardians have got their hands full this weekend. They probably did not want to have the off day yesterday knowing that they've won seven in a row. But who would have thought Dave with what's true inspired last weekend of August? We're talking about all of a sudden a big, big series here in Northeast Ohio.
What a night that we had last night. What a weekend we got in front of us.

I don't want to get overly excited about the Royals, but if they were to do some damage this weekend, maybe on Monday, my refrain might be a little bit different. Jensen, let's see how the weekend goes. That's for sure. TG Thomas Gable is going to join us as he does each and every Friday, right from the Borgata in Atlantic City. Find out what the books are looking at this weekend. Chris Childer is going to be back in the program. That means it's college football season, baby. We can't wait for week officially to begin tomorrow. And Lou Fedekero, sneaky good card this week. And I'm sure Lou's always thinking one eye ahead and looking up to week number one of the NFL as well. So lots to get to here on a Friday morning, but we are excited for college football. And that's where we begin, our highlights and headlines.

It's going to be an early morning for me getting up to watch the UFC card in Shanghai. And then Jensen, I think I just keep the TV on and we go right over to Dublin and get everything kickstarted here with TCU and UNC. A great sporting weekend is upon us, but can you believe it, my man? This is our last show without Division 1 college football in our lives for good.

Very excited.
I was waiting to fire on a couple of things. I do believe we are going to get to a total here in this North Carolina TCU game. We'll save that for our talk upcoming here. But yeah, we are going to have now playing for keeps. Finished my college fantasy football draft yesterday. Very excited with a pretty decently heavy SEC crew that will be part of the smoke and aces here. But yeah, it is upon us. I've got the breakfast stuff ready for tomorrow. Maybe a little Irish, a little Ireland theme for the morning. And we'll get our kickstarted with some fun and frivolity. But we're back, baby. We are back and very excited to break down this week's Zero Slate.

So, the Smokin Aces, that's a great team name for you. I used to do a few good men. That was my standard team name here when it came to fantasy football. But I like the Smokin Aces for you.
We're going to be wrapping up some things here, obviously, in the fake football season, as I affectionately call it. Look, we all love football, but I can't really wait for the real stuff to begin here in a couple of weeks. But I guess for Cleveland last night, Jensen, a good last dress rehearsal, if you will. Dylan Gabriel, 12 of 15, 186, three touchdowns. I mean, there was talk that maybe he's going to get cut. This is the third round pick from a year ago, Jensen. Does that change anything in his standing this morning?

I don't know. I think this is an interesting decision. And because Taylor Green actually, you know, looked really good, he's such a good dual threat guy. He actually led the team in rushing yesterday, eight carries for 66 yards, was five for seven through the air.
You know, cut down day, always a tough one in the quarterback room because you are going to have some young talent just freshly removed from the draft. Pittsburgh comes to mind, Dave. Will Howard might be looking for work. I tell you, you look at where, that Bills and Steelers, very high scoring game. And the numbers were pretty similar, yet, you know, Drew Aller is probably going to get the nod, just knowing where this front office is right now for the Steelers.
