Hello, welcome back to House of R, I'm Joanna Robinson. And joining me today, there are no strings on her, it's Mallory Rubin.

Mallory Rubin (0:12)

Oh my odd wee duck, Joanna Robinson. What a pleasure to be back with you.

Joanna Robinson (0:18)

Can I just, I mean, like, I know you know me so well, but can I just say that like when that happened in the show, I was like, I hope someday someone calls me that, and there you did, you already did it.

Mallory Rubin (0:27)

Done, but I'm going to continue calling you that.

Joanna Robinson (0:29)

Take it off the bucket list. Appreciate you.

Mallory Rubin (0:32)

Buttercup, part of the House of R canon.

Joanna Robinson (0:34)

Yeah, Tex.

Mallory Rubin (0:35)

Odd wee duck, part of the House of R canon.

Joanna Robinson (0:38)

Wonderful. We're here to talk about VisionQuest.

Mallory Rubin (0:40)

That's right.

Episodes one and two, right after this. This episode is brought to you by Quince. We've all got something in our closet that we go back to again and again. The trick is finding pieces like that. Luckily, Quince is all about creating elevated everyday essentials. You'll never want to take off.

Their pieces are high quality and made with materials like organic cotton and premium stretched denim without insane markups. Like, you can get 100% Mongolian cashmere sweater starting at $50.

I've been loving personally, Quince has a whole line of linen button-down shirts, and I'm in my linen button-down shirt era because summers in Los Angeles are oppressively hot. So this is something I've been really, really enjoying based off of what I got from Quince, and I was really shocked by how reasonably priced they were. So you can find the fall pieces you'll reach for most at Quince. Download the Quince app for app-exclusive offers, or go to quince.com, get free shipping on your order, and 365-day returns, now available in Canada and the UK too. And when Quince asks where you heard about them, let them know it was House of R. It's the best way to support the show.

This episode is brought to you by The Home Depot. The Home Depot is everything you need to launch your holiday season in style. Upgrade your yard with this year's hottest holiday decor, including the show-stopping towering Santa. Oh, I like that one. And his impressive reindeer, both 8.5 feet and boat design with incredible detail that stands out day or night. When you want decor that delivers impact, The Home Depot has it. Make your home Santa's favorite stop with the holiday decor you want, all waiting for you at The Home Depot.

Joanna Robinson (2:23)

All right, quick programming reminders.

Mallory Rubin (2:24)

Yeah.

Joanna Robinson (2:25)

So we are covering VisionQuest week to week. And whatever permutation Disney decides to drop it on a Tuesday, two at a time, whatever they're going to do, we're going to cover it.

Mallory Rubin (2:34)

Some twists and turns.

Joanna Robinson (2:34)

Yeah.

Really excited to cover it with you. It's been a minute since we've done a Marvel show. It's fun to be back in the mix with that. We also, as we mentioned before, we have our eyes on some late October movie releases. We haven't fully cemented our plans, but you have seen Wicker, I have seen Wicker. We're thinking about some Clayface stuff. We're thinking about some Wildwood stuff. It's all just sort of in the mix, but there's a lot of delights in store for us later this month, as well as a big project that we're going to let you know about later.

Mallory Rubin (3:08)

Stay tuned.

Joanna Robinson (3:09)

Just something we're really, really excited about. So how can folks keep track of that? How can we make sure they don't miss whatever ambiguous thing it is I just teased?

Mallory Rubin (3:20)

Thanks for asking, dad. Papa.

Peepaw.

Joanna Robinson (3:24)

Okay.

Audre Duck, yes. Peepaw out. No, it's a no.

Mallory Rubin (3:28)

I'm just, you know, I got to test a few things.

Joanna Robinson (3:30)

You're workshopping. Yeah, I understand.

Mallory Rubin (3:31)

Here's what I'd recommend. Follow the pod. Follow House of R on Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts. You can watch full video episodes of House of R on Spotify. Incredible stuff. You can also, of course, watch full video episodes of House of R and The Midnight Boys, boop-boop on the Ring of Earth's YouTube channel.
