Avian Tyrone with you on Triple J Breakfast on your Friday morning, and joining us for Like A Version for the very first time, it is Violet Grohl. Violet, good morning. How are you feeling?

**Violet Grohl** (0:44)
Good. I'm super, super stoked to be here. This has kind of been like an aspiration of mine to do Like A Version.

**Tyrone** (0:50)
Wait, really?

**Abbie** (0:50)
What are your earliest memories of Like A Version? Was there a specific one you remembered seeing for the first time, or was it more of a general thing that you sort of came across?

**Violet Grohl** (0:59)
It was kind of more of a general thing, but I remember, I think I saw my first video around like 2018 or 19 maybe, I think, and I was just like, I love watching artists interpret songs in their own way and bring their own element to it. And it's just such a cool show. I love it.

**Tyrone** (1:19)
And now you're here and you're part of it, of course. But before we dive into the music, did you need to ask, did we hear that you did a ghost tour here the other night? How was that?

**Violet Grohl** (1:29)
It was amazing. It was so cool. We went down to the rocks and we did a tour of like old Sydney and like the harbour. And only recently did I actually start like putting myself in positions of like, I want to like experience things and I want to have my own perspective and my own experiences to back up my belief. Like feeling the different energies and I'm a history buff. Like I absolutely just I love learning about the history of the locations and the people that lived there. And if there are people that died there that are historically like documented, it's really fascinating.

I mean, absolutely. It's great to learn about the places that you visit. How else are you spending your time when you visit cities on tour?

**Violet Grohl** (2:15)
I love, I always love like an art museum or some kind of like contemporary museum of some sort. And I love antiquing. It's just like, I just love seeing like people's old things and like imagining like whose house that might have been in or who owned that comb.

**Tyrone** (2:35)
God, yeah. I am so curious, okay. If you came back as a ghost one day, where would you hang out? Have you had thought about this? Where are you going to be choosing to haunt?

**Violet Grohl** (2:44)
I would love to haunt an antique store. I would also love to just like stay posted up in my house if they ruin my house or anything like that.

It was really fun. It's a weird one to play acoustic, but it was fun arranging it, and it sounds great in here.

**Abbie** (5:47)
I mean, now that song was based off a sex line t-shirt, right? Tell us about how that came about.

**Violet Grohl** (5:52)
Yeah, so I just pulled up to the studio that day wearing this shirt, and we started to kind of conceptualize, what kind of song are we going to do today? And we wanted something desert rocky, a little more grungy, sexy but sludgy at the same time. And we started writing down some of the things that were on the shirt.
