Hey, everybody, welcome back to another episode of the Cloud Wars Podcast. Today is a special report. Pretty cool. I've got an opportunity to shoot the breeze here with Robbie Morrison, the CEO of Velocio. Hey, Robbie.
**Robbie Morrison** (0:22)
Hey, thanks for having me, John.
**John Siefert** (0:25)
Absolutely. And Gang, one of the reasons why I'm so excited to have this conversation with Robbie is, boy, it's not a surprise here when you take a look across the entire ecosystem of what's happening in the Cloud category, the AI category, the business applications category, that we're starting to see some consolidation around some major players that are not only looking at this as a land grab, but also looking at it very strategically to enhance the opportunity with customers, the opportunity to expand into vertical industries, maybe up market, through market, and down market with a lot of the customers that they're working with. So many of us as buyers and users of AI systems and applications and all that sort of thing, we're trying to find those partners that can actually help us, not just meet us where we want to be, but help take us where we're going. Robbie and the team of Velocio have been key in that approach, and that has now expanded, Robbie.
As Robbie and the team at Velocio actually announced the acquisition of Domain Six on June 1st, 2026, bringing deep enterprise and vertical industry specialization to Velocio, one of the most respected partners in the Microsoft ecosystem. Robbie, do me a favor, share a bit on what drove this decision and the investment from Velocio into Domain Six.
**Robbie Morrison** (1:45)
Yeah, sure. I've known Celine, the founder of Domain Six for a long time, and I know the work that they do, and really they respected the work they do, all the way back to Celine being at Microsoft many years ago. I've been connected with Celine, talking to him about the future, and really just trying to persuade him to become part of the Velocio family for a long time. Finally, the time was right, and Domain Six comes with enterprise capabilities, really good delivery teams. Everything that we do is people-centric. We're a consulting business at heart, and a consulting business is built on the knowledge and the abilities of the people you bring in. So bringing in that great team at Domain Six was key, but also they brought in intellectual property in the rental space.
The professional services verticals that they're into, and it really just helps us to expand, expand many more capabilities than we had.
**John Siefert** (2:59)
So great news, Robbie, and I think it speaks to what I was just kind of mentioning, that need for the consultant systems integrator partner that a customer is going to work with to actually have a level of expertise around the vertical industry, right?
And if it's in retail, professional services, whatever the category might be. So speaking of customers, what can Domain Six and Velocio customers sort of expect through this new sort of combination of the businesses?
**Robbie Morrison** (3:32)
Well, the first thing, hopefully, it's all positive. We don't plan to disrupt any of the relationships just to support them and create more value across the customer base and be able to cross-pollinate the knowledgeable people we have on both sides of the equation. I believe over time, it'll mean the Velocio employee, the Velocio clients have access to some extremely talented people for specialty knowledge, but also on the Domain Six side, they'll have access to a much wider set of talent across the globe, people that can do specialty things inside of the projects that maybe they haven't been able to do in the past, things like deep data expertise, deep Azure expertise, in combination with the full Microsoft Biz Apps platform.
At Velocio, we can do everything that you would need to have a world-class Microsoft platform running your business, and that'll open up to what Domain Six was able to offer to their clients.
**John Siefert** (4:42)
It's wonderful on both sides of the equation actually.
One of the things too from a customer perspective that I think is so valuable about this, as Robbie was saying, is, boy, if you're utilizing Azure, if you're utilizing Dynamics, if you're utilizing M365 or Fabric, or the broader Azure platform stuff, boy, to have that level of expertise, if you're maybe using one piece of that stack, and you want to consider the other pieces of that stack, and I was a Domain Six customer, boy, now I get to tap into the folks who can help me get me where I want to be, as opposed to just where I am. That's a huge value.
