It is the update episode that focuses on stories we have read on the show before that have since been updated. So we're going to be revisiting stories with all these updates, either updates we missed the first time or have come out since the episode aired.

And I am joined by two people who love a good update, Tommy and Courtney.

We'll discuss the original story a bit, and then I'll read the update that we didn't cover on that show, and any relevant comments.

Before we move into this, do you guys have any favorite updates, or any update stories that we've read on the show that you just think about all the time?

I mean, this was from, I believe, our Boston live show. Our Boston live show, there was the update to the hummus story, and that update was so funny.

I love that hummus story update.

Shayne Topp (1:53)

Very good. I hate to say it, because obviously I hate this in real life, and I hate it for people when it happens, but whenever there's an update where it turns out someone's cheating, it always kind of blows your mind, especially when you don't suspect it in the first story.

Tommy Bowe (2:08)

For sure.

We had one a few months ago where it was like, a wife was like, yeah, my husband, I think he's going and eating hot dogs every day. I think he's going down to 7-Eleven and eating a hot dog.

Courtney Miller (2:18)

Hot dogs, hummus, what is with you people?

Shayne Topp (2:21)

It's kind of like, wait, what? Okay, like talk to him and then the update is like, oh, he's having a full on affair.

Courtney Miller (2:27)

At the 7-Eleven.

Shayne Topp (2:27)

Courtney Miller (2:31)

My favorite is when there's an update and it's an affair and the update is the woman getting away. Do you know what I mean? There was one getting out where it's like, this woman, I can't remember the exact original story. It was like, she was pregnant with their next child, sees on his phone that he was fully having an affair with her best friend.

She got all her ducks in a row, lawyer situation. She was able to get out. She had already had a place that she could live, like her dad's home or something, and potentially a new special friend at the end. It was very, very, I was like, yes, she wins.

There's many different kinds of updates because the really positive ones are also so nice. When people surprise you with being so kind and understanding.

Wait, you know what story, I don't know if it has an update and I hope to God that this does, the Koala piss chlamydia one. Do you remember that story?

Courtney Miller (3:31)

Yes. That was a confusing one.

Tommy Bowe (3:33)

She was like, I guess it could have been the Koala, and it just ends going, I don't know.
