Oh, boy.

Boise, boise, boise. It's very hard for me to keep a straight face in these commentary videos today. It is all just so utterly stupid. So anyways, coming from CNBC, Trump, Trump is getting into the AI octagon. He's showing, he's showing you how a real alpha dog deals with artificial intelligence. Oh, God.

Trump says, no need for more AI regulation, slams anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. So, see, yeah, so basically Trump is getting in. He is basically saying the fear mongering is simply fear mongering. And if we let our foot off the pedal, then China is going to win the AI war. And we all know what knows what happens when China wins the AI war. I mean, we all know, right? Tell you what, I'll tell you what. Why don't you tell me what you think is going to happen if China wins the AI war? And then I'll tell you if you're right or not. Yeah, how about we do that? Yeah, anyways, I don't know.

Oh, I miss my profession. I miss my profession. Remember when being a technology professional is cool?

Remember when you're like, yeah, I'm a technology professional. You know what? I'm making people's lives better, right? I go out there, I do really cool things. I help businesses work better, help people's lives go better. I basically make my 1%, but the benefits that I give to companies and people are so large that that 1% is actually a nice, hefty chunk of money. And that's the thing, I get to do good in the world, and I get to make a good living, and people think I'm cool.

Remember those days?

Peppered Farm members those days.

So fucking long ago.

Oh, my profession. So yeah, anyways, so yeah, Trump is getting into the ring now. President Donald Trump on Monday pushed back against growing calls for greater regulation of AI and lashed out at the tropic CEO Dario Amodei over his urgent plea for an AI slowdown. So if you missed it, all of the AI companies are now saying that they need to slow down, you know, for reasons. A quote coming from Trump. The only control or guardrails that AI needs is a strong and smart, high IQ president. And the USA has that in spades, Trump wrote in a social, truth social post. Yeah, so the only guardrails we need for AI is Trump, apparently. Because Trump obviously understands everything about artificial intelligence, because he's that smart, and he has that high of an IQ. Because you know how high his IQ is, because he tells you how high his IQ is. And I think that's the kind of funny thing. You know, if Trump just pushed back on Dario, the way, you know, a human would push back on Dario, that would be nice. Look, Dario is doing fear mongering. Dario is trying to pretend his technology is so scary and so powerful, so that he can get his two trillion dollar valuation. Right? Look, good for him, but we should not slow down everything in artificial intelligence, just because Dario is trying to get a two trillion dollar valuation, and make himself feel better. Right? But that's the thing. Like when we go with Trump, we get whatever the this is. Quote, the Trump administration has stopped AI people from doing bad or potentially bad things like Dario Anthropic, who is now pretending to be a perfect little angel, and we will continue to do so Trump road. As I've talked about before, it does appear Anthropic has been used to try to create bio weapons. We were informed that by Anthropic itself. Apparently, Anthropic was used to create, I don't know, round about 75% worth of a ballistic missile by the Houthis in Yemen. Yeah, that's a real thing.

So yeah, the Trump administration coming out and saying it has stopped people from doing bad or potentially bad things is just absolutely ridiculous. We know that people are using these quote unquote artificial intelligence systems to do some god-awful things. And for whatever reason, Dario isn't stopping it, and Sam Altman isn't stopping it, and Trump doesn't know what the fuck is going on. But for some reason, right, because he's an high IQ president, that's all we need. In a flurry of posts throughout Monday, Trump claimed, quote, the only reason the AI data center outburst is happening is because the United States is leading by a lot every other country. I mean, you know, sort of. Our bubble does appear to be bigger than everybody's other's country. Like, is that the competition now? Look at how big our bubble is. Your bubble isn't as big as our bubble. I mean, it's true, I suppose. Quote, concerning AI, when in the history of business did anyone see the leaders of an industry call for regulation that, if strongly implemented, will drive them into oblivion and bankruptcy? He wrote in another afternoon post calling the recent concerns a, quote, hoax and a scam. The president's latest defense of largely unfettered AI growth came amid a sudden crescendo of leading industry voices raising alarms about the risks of the nascent technology. The Trump administration is broadly encouraging industry's rapid growth and development of controversial data centers in the US as it seeks an insurmountable technological edge over China. Which we're not going to get. We might have an edge over China. To be clear, I don't know, maybe we're six months ahead of China, or six days, or six hours, or six seconds. Look, I'm not going to say we're not ahead of China, but we're just not going to get an insurmountable lead over China because, wait for it, that's not how technological development works. That's just not how this show works, right? That's the thing. In the course of technological development, different people do better at different times, and that's just how it works. The fundamental concept of trying to get some kind of insurmountable lead is ridiculous on the face of it.
