Yeah, I remember at the end of last year, I was listening to the case of, which is a really good ABC podcast where they give daily recaps of trials, and I was listening to the one on Toyah Cordingley.
For those who don't know, Toyah, she was 24 years old, she was living in Cairns and she was walking her dog at a secluded beach, where she was murdered by Raja Vinda Singh, who didn't know her at all.

After it all happened, he fled back to India, didn't tell his wife where he was going, his kids, he left them all behind in Innisfail. Then when they were trying to contact people in India from his hometown, none of his families or people he kept in contact with had actually seen him, and it actually took them four years to be able to charge him with murder.

I couldn't even imagine the lead up to that. This being in particular, it's such a small town. I saw an interview with Toyah's mom and she was talking about how when they didn't know who the perpetrator was, she would just be looking around at just people at the shops and people that she sees all the time just being like, was it you or do you know who did it?
