Training Camp Newstravaganza: Latest on A.J. Brown, Quinshon Judkins and more

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Rotoworld Football Show. I'm Patrick Daugherty. Joined on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, by Mr. Kyle Dvorchak and not Denny Carter. He's never coming back to America. Today Kyle and I are going to talk about Jacoby Brissett. Finally getting his long sought contract adjustment, updates in the Packers backfield, updates to Alec Pierce's injury situation, this quarterback's injury situation, Daniel Jones, AJ. Brown, saying he's good to go in the early days of Patriots training camp. Same for Quinshon Judkins in Cleveland. All that and more when we come back right after this.
Only two people coming back right after this are myself and Kyle, because as I mentioned, Denny remains in Greece, Kyle. I went and departed Canton, Ohio, for the Fantasy Football Expo faster than it's taken Denny to get home to America. He's been at airports for two or three days. He's been on a boat one of those days. I think he's been maybe in the Newark, New Jersey airport for the past 48 hours. What's he doing? What's he doing? Other than not his VODs, I'm not going to Canton. You're not going to Canton either. People actually honestly were up in arms about that. They said, Kyle is quote unquote literally from here. He's still not coming to the Expo. We're not here to talk about Kyle's past. We're here to talk about Denny's present. Where is he?
What are we doing without him?

We're doing all his work without him. Denny, you have VODs. I'll do him tomorrow. I'll do my job tomorrow too, I guess.

**Patrick Daugherty** (1:45)
Yeah, Denny has, quote, sworn to God he'll do them tomorrow.

We should kick Denny off the Thursday show just so we can complain about it.

We actually should punish him. He shouldn't be allowed to come back Thursday.
That would be rewarding our audience too, no Denny? No, everyone really missed you guys. They loved you guys. Everyone loves you guys at the Expo. Ask him where you were, wishing you were there. I was there. It was a great time. Kyle, I will tell you what, drafting before training camp, not really for the faint of heart, especially in the salary cap draft, the auction draft, you know, it gets kind of dicey near the end, even in the best of times.
You and I, I was doing some very brief strategizing with you before our auction, of course. And I was like, man, I kind of don't want to do stars and scrubs this year. I do stars and scrubs every year. And last year, my stars got hurt. And it was like a total fight for survival because there's relegation in the Kings Classic. I have thankfully avoided relegation, but the stars got hurt last year. So I was like, you know what I'm not going to do? And I instantly did stars and scrubs. And so I have so many $1 players. And when you're drafting in late July with a $1 player, you're kind of just hoping, like, I hope this guy even makes the team.

For sure.

Like, doing it in late July instead of like mid-August, there's even a huge difference with those two to three weeks there. I really, really hope these guys make the team.

I can tell you that. I feel like that's by far the best, wasn't even the best format to go stars and scrubs, but it's the only format in which you were afforded the ability to go stars and scrubs. I will say, however, you posted some drafts you saw people do over the weekend. I was like, oh, they went stars and scrubs, but in a redraft format, which just means they just took more scrubs than you would normally get.
It's the only opportunity we have in Fantasy Football. We're like, I want to eat dessert five times in a row, and you can just do that. You do have to live with some consequences later, but I still think it's good.

What do you think of these prices? $200 budget, 14 teams. A 14-team auction, by the way, and there's no kickers or defense and there's big benches.
So everyone gets drafted. $200 budget, I did $50 for JSN. That's actually pretty fair. That's near the high end of what you pay, but it wasn't huge.

You remember what Puka or Jamar Chase went for?

A few dollars more. They both went for more. I was in on the Chase bidding. Chase went for like $53. I believe Puka went for $50 as well, actually. So for the same as JSN.
