Hey, what's up? John Hansen here. Brian Drake and I are back for another edition of the Fantasy Points Podcast, a midweek edition where we explore the trade market, some players to buy low and sell high on. Nothing earth shattering here, but we did chop it up and we discussed some very appealing names. Pretty fairly obvious, but players who are going to likely see an increase in their actual and perceived value. So you might as well go get them now. Thanks for subscribing. As always, throw us a bone with a good review, and you're welcome.

All across the fantasy universe, it's week four, time to wheel and deal. Maybe you're 3-0, maybe you're 0-3.

You're likely somewhere in the middle. Either way, there's always chances for you to improve your team, and that's what we're aiming to do here on the Fantasy Points Podcast, Players to Trade and Trade For. I am Brian Drake, joined alongside the guru, John Hansen, who has written this column for fantasypoints.com and beyond for 20 years, and it is one of the most popular things you will see at fantasypoints.com. John, we're going to dig in and go through some players that we think people could have a buying opportunity on. And like, let's just start it out there. Throw it up from the beginning. Throw out the first pitch as I've got my Yankees hat on and the MLB MLB playoffs start tonight.

Or you know, when you guys are listening to this, you'll already know the Yankees probably won 80 to nothing over that. If someone's and 3 and they come to, I'm sure you've gotten this message a thousand times in your life. Somebody's and 3, they're 1 and 2, and there's a plethora of injuries out there. You know, what would you say in this situation? I know we asked this last week at and 2, but at and 3, it really kind of is a, you know, you gotta make a move at this point.

John Hansen (2:01)

Right, right. Well, you could read the column, because I don't know if we covered all these players on the pod, which we probably didn't, but last week we were pounding the table. Well, obviously Drake London was in the intro, because I said he may be the most obvious trade for candidate in the 15-year history of this article, but we also gave love to B. John Robinson, Terry McLaurin. Now it's only one game, but those guys went off. Also, I had Michael Will. I loved Michael Wilson this week, and he did very, very well. Of course, I also did have Brian Thomas on here, and that's not looking very good, so you can't get them all right, but we also had Luther Burden on there. We also can't remember exactly who we covered, but players to trade were like, Drake May, trade him. O'Marian Hampton, trade him. Devon A. Chan, trade him.

My league neighbors and Kyle Pitts. So, you know, trading can be a thing that shakes up your team. As I mentioned, the number one tip I would give is forget about depth. Just try and form the best starting possible lineup and take it from there.

If you have a high-end quarterback, trade his ass, and stream in the FPI, actually pulled off a big trade that was brought to me. I traded freaking Brock Bowers, my number two pick, and Kyler who looks like dog dirt for Pat Mahomes and Sammy Laporta.

I'm one in two. I lost a little bit of a heartbreaker last week. But yeah, like I said, that's a low key tip. If you have Lamar Jackson or a high end producer, trade his ass away because you could pick up Jacoby Berset, Bryce Young, maybe a drafted Tyler Shuck. By the way, this is why we talked about these low end players in the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th round. This is why we're like, yeah, I'll draft two quarterbacks. Tyler Shuck was on my list as one of my five quarterback targets. I wish I was my number one. That was Trevor Lawrence. But I think Tyler Shuck may offset Justin Herbert. Let's go with that because I did like Herbert too as a pick.

But keep in mind, Herbert and Lawrence were only going in the eighth round. They were so obvious. You know what I mean? But man, Shuck, he's the guy, man. I mean, that's the guy. He can throw two picks, fumble, and still come through like he did last week.

Brian Drake (4:35)

He does it a lot in the second half. I was just reading a tweet someone put out that said he scored something like 14.5 points just in the second half alone, and that was more than like Drake, May and Baker scored in their entire game. Oh, yeah.
