Time for Take 5 It is Monday, so we're talking midfielders. You know what I think they're going to have to do?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:09)
What's that?

**Mark Duffield** (1:10)
Is they're going to have to have bibs like netballers do.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:13)
No, come on.

**Mark Duffield** (1:13)
So, wing defense, wing attack, because there are so many midfielders that aren't all the time midfielders. They just go where they want to go.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:23)
Do you have to bring in an amount of center bouncer's attended or something like that to give them a classification?

**Mark Duffield** (1:28)
I'm picking the guys who are nominally midfielders, and then I'm looking at their stats to make sure they actually played in the midfield, like clearances and that sort of thing. But then you have to factor in, so I'm leaving the Messiah out today, but he will get a run later in the week, because basically he went behind the ball, and that was when he started to play really well.
I had Jordan Dawson into the forward last week. Guess where he is this week?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:54)
He's number one today.

**Mark Duffield** (1:55)
He's number one.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:56)
Yes.

**Mark Duffield** (1:57)
So Jordan Dawson, absolute master class in midfield impact in the first quarter against the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night. Three goals, 32 disposals, eight tackles, seven clearances, 570 metres gained, five goal assist, sorry, three goal assist. I'm getting a bit carried away there. Six inside fifties, 12 score involvements, six intercept possessions. The perfectly balanced, impactful game. Eight touches in the first quarter, three of them were goals. The game was done at quarter time. He was that good.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:29)
Unbelievable. Number two.

**Mark Duffield** (2:31)
Number two, Cosi Pickett. Got a few for high contact.
He was milking that very well, but he still is in really good nick. Three goals, one, 32 disposals, four clearances, 676 metres gained, 10 score involvements, four intercept possessions, five inside fifties.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:48)
Number three.

**Mark Duffield** (2:49)
Harry Schiesel. I've been waiting for this guy to have more impact on games. The numbers always look good, but does he slice and dice like other midfielders do? I think he was more impactful against West Coast at the weekend. And the one goal, two, 33 disposals, seven marks, five tackles, 10 clearances, 372 metres gained, nine inside fifties, nine score involvements, three intercept possessions.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:12)
And number four?

**Mark Duffield** (3:14)
Not everyone will agree with this, but I thought Jordan Sweet was massive for Port Adelaide when they nearly toppled Sydney at the weekend. I'm not saying Brady Grundy didn't play well, but Jordan Sweet kicked two goals, one, 17 disposals, four marks, 35 hit outs, nine clearances, 385 metres gained, 13 score involvements.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:33)
And number five?

**Mark Duffield** (3:34)
Will Ashcroft. When the Lions have got the ball, Will Ashcroft is a very good player. Not so great when they haven't got the ball. Two goals, three, 38 disposals, 10 marks, four tackles, eight clearances, 480 metres gained, 14 score involvements.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:48)
And those apologies this week. Max Holmes, and Isaiah Wangadeen Miller, Chad Warner, Brody Grundy, Isaac Heaney, and Max Gawne.

**Mark Duffield** (3:54)
Yep, Tim Cowley was also pretty good for the West Coast.
But, Messiah, you'll get a mention later on in the week. Couple of the others. Isaac Heaney, forward, midfielder. Six, seven.
