Look at this guy, look at the muscles in this guy.
Hey, what's poppin? We're in the deals in the d.com studios, and everybody is well today. Sorry for being ill yesterday.
Marc Fellhauer (0:18)
It needs flare up.
Drew Lane (0:19)
Yeah, a little bit.
Trudi Daniels (0:20)
That's all right, it happens.
Drew Lane (0:21)
And it got cold overnight, and I think I got that weather change cold, I think. I don't know why else I got a cold all of a sudden, but I feel better today.
I probably could have pulled it off yesterday, but I was not feeling my best. So I always give you my best. Hall Financials, our sponsor.

That's what separates Hall Financial. And we were supposed to talk to Mike Binder today.
He had a last-minute issue, though, but he's going to come on sometime soon, right?
SPEAKER_6 (1:18)
Don't feel good.
Drew Lane (1:19)
I'm so psyched to talk to Mike.
SPEAKER_6 (1:21)
You caught your cold.
Drew Lane (1:23)
I apparently saw you. You had the same thing that September weather change.
Mike had Dave Lando on his podcast. I was like, Mike Binder is a podcast? I didn't know Mike Binder had a podcast. And then I saw him on Stephen Baldwin's One Bad Movie, which is, I love that podcast because I love seeing people talking about their worst movie.
Marc Fellhauer (1:41)
It's a great concept.
Drew Lane (1:43)
Yeah. It's very self-deprecating. It's fun. It's usually removed enough that they can laugh about it.
Marc Fellhauer (1:49)
The only problem with that podcast is Stephen Baldwin. He'll just go off the rails about something.
Drew Lane (1:55)
But it kind of works.
Trudi Daniels (1:56)
Don't talk about my boyfriend that way.
Marc Fellhauer (1:57)
That's right. SB.
Drew Lane (2:00)
I can't explain why it works, but it kind of works. Probably he does get great guests, I will say. And he's been in a lot of movies too. But Mike was saying his worst movie, he said, I made a shitty movie, was Man About Town, and I didn't really dislike that movie at all.
It wasn't a perfect movie, but I mean, you get Ben Affleck and Rebecca Ramgen Stamos, and who else is in that movie? John Cleese. Adam Graham. John Cleese is great in that movie. I thought there was a lot good about that movie, but he had written The Upside of Anger, which Arthur Penhall was in, by the way. Arthur's on the shift after Kevin Costner.
And so we were very interested in the movie, and we got to talk to Mike. It was a big deal. But he was a hot property then, because people loved that movie. I don't know what it did money-wise, but it was very critically acclaimed. It is a great movie. Joan Allen is fantastic. Oh, yeah. It's got a real twist at the end that I think is worth waiting for. So he was really kind of on fire at that time. And it's interesting hearing about him talking about, I was in movie jail for three years after Blank Man, because Blank Man didn't do what it was supposed to do. And a few people like Jeffrey Katzenberg told him, don't do that movie, do this movie. Why are you making a Sony movie? You've been working for Disney. So just a lot of the politics and the bullshit, which he calls out. But anyway, he was pretty high property. And so Steven Spielberg had seen The Upside of Anger and said, I want to write a movie with you.
And the movie they wanted to write was to do with Steven Spielberg having a stalker who had been a real thorn in his side. And so they're writing, I mean, working hard together on this movie. And I'll leave a few things out in case he retells the story, because it's a really windy, great story. But Kate Capshaw nixes the movie.
