LA's got a massive strike. LA Stadium workers vote to strike days before World Cup. This is a Wall Street Journal story. 2,000 hospitality workers at SoFi Stadium overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike. Their unions said Friday they'd stop it, authorized by 96% of voting members occur at any time, though union officials made it clear that US national teams opening World Cup match against Paragon on June 12 would be an opportune moment. If workers walk off the job, soccer fans who pay thousands of dollars to attend the match might have a hard time getting refreshments. Can you imagine you go into the game and you may not get drinks, Vinny?
FIFA soccer's governing body has recommended fans arrive three hours early for matches at stadium located just outside of LA, which suffers from parking, difficult parking and chaotic road access.
There's a story here about I guess soccer can be played if workers go on strikes at Kirk Peterson, co-president of the local union, in an interview, but someone paying $100,000 for a suite, and they're ending up getting bottled water and Doritos, I'm not sure that's what they're expecting. Local global company operated concessions at the stadium, said it has presented progressive wage proposal. So, by the way, while this is happening, what was the story about Penn Station, that five individuals got stabbed?

And she's going to come out there and say, President Trump and the World Cup, you're going to... Mark my words, you're going to see her associating it that way. And she's going to say, these workers got what they had long deserved. You know, you're going to hear that. That's her Marxist side of it.
I think, Pat, the World Cup organizers have done a horrible job. You need to go to city by city by city and clear all the things that need to be cleared. Otherwise, you just run into it like this. Did you know in Mexico what happened yesterday?
They are so worried about fighting at the World Cup. They said it's possible that they will not allow beer to be served at the World Cup stadium that's in Mexico. Did you see that? And then AB InBev and Modelo, they're like, wait, what? I thought we paid for some advertising here. You're telling me we can't do it? And I think what this is showing is going to be ugly in LA, but the World Cup organizers have done a hellaciously bad job of putting it together. Look at the PR they've gotten hit with. They allowed tickets on a lottery system to actually go out in bundles of 10 Immediately, they went to the stalker markets at tens and thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Number one. Number two. They point out that the security protocols are even worse than the American Super Bowl. Wait a minute. How is that possible? The American Super Bowl is a huge target, and they manage to get people in and out. Why wouldn't they say, hey, Roger Goodell, NFL, who are your security people? You hold the Super Bowl in a different city every year and you manage to get people in and out safe and you avoid problems and you haven't had a terrorist attack.
That hasn't happened. And then now they go to LA that, hey, you've cleared your union, right? Your union's good to go here. You talk to the union leaders.
