Are you ready to be blown away by the Long Island medium? Theresa Caputo is on the show, and she talks about the afterlife, soul connections, signs from the spirit, and staying connected to loved ones. I also personally really resonated with this episode because she gave me a lot of peace around grief and losing someone close to you. Whether you've lost someone or you're just curious about what a medium does, this episode covers it all. With that, let's welcome Theresa to The Bossticks.
I was just asking you off air if you feel overstimulated at times. When you do feel overstimulated from all the energy, what do you do? Do you have to go away?
**Theresa Caputo** (0:53)
I just wait and see what spirit is going to do because I feel very, when I feel very heavy in my forehead area, that means that there's a lot of souls that are present. Doesn't necessarily mean that any or all are going to speak. It's just what I feel.
**Michael Bosstick** (1:07)
What does it feel like? Does it feel like a pressure? Does it just, does it feel loud? Does it feel?
**Theresa Caputo** (1:12)
It feels like a heaviness, but then three souls step forward and then I just started to taste blood. So that's my symbol for that. Because they departed in a very tragic and untimely way. So that's the main way that I communicate through spirit. I don't see the souls the way we see each other here in the physical world, and I don't communicate with them the way we do. So they make me feel like a bond and relationship that we shared with them. They make me feel what they felt as their soul left the physical body.
And then they show me like a sign or a symbol of whatever it is that is holding someone back from healing. Because that's why I do what I do.
**Lauryn Bosstick** (1:48)
You taste blood in your mouth.
**Theresa Caputo** (1:50)
Yeah, I can't explain. It's not like if you cut yourself and, you know, then tasted your blood. It's not, I can't, I can't explain it.
**Lauryn Bosstick** (1:57)
Is that the first epiphany that you had, that you knew you had something?
**Theresa Caputo** (2:01)
No, no. So I suffered for many years with anxiety. And a lot of it came with, and I just got it again, like I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath.
That's my symbol for someone passed from the heart, lungs or chest. So that would happen to me. If I could be in a store and all of a sudden I would feel like I couldn't breathe or take a deep breath. And I would immediately leave the store and I would feel better because I left that energy behind. The energy didn't come with me because that's not mine to take. Does that make sense?
**Lauryn Bosstick** (2:32)
It makes total sense. Yeah.
**Michael Bosstick** (2:33)
So we were talking before we started. We're obviously not in our main studios. We're in our pop-up here out in the Hamptons and across there's a grave site. And I was asking you if you go by a grave site like that where there's obviously people that have been buried, does that change anything or you feel anything or it doesn't really make a difference?
**Theresa Caputo** (2:49)
I could, it really doesn't make a difference for me because I would just feel like maybe a pulling to go near someone's headstone, but it wouldn't matter to me.
**Lauryn Bosstick** (3:00)
What would give people peace that are listening about their loved ones that have passed?
**Theresa Caputo** (3:07)
Knowing that there truly is more to life than just here in the physical world, and that their loved ones are still with them just in a different way. They're not missing out. They're actually living life through our eyes.
**Lauryn Bosstick** (3:18)
Are they watching us at all times?
**Theresa Caputo** (3:20)
Not at all times. Usually the men ask that question.
**Michael Bosstick** (3:25)
That was going to be my question because I wanted to know, Were they watching us last night?
**Theresa Caputo** (3:29)
What you're doing in the bedroom?
**Michael Bosstick** (3:30)
Is great grandma watching me in the room or do they politely leave the room?
**Theresa Caputo** (3:35)
I don't know. Soul has never showed me anything like that, so I don't know.
**Michael Bosstick** (3:39)
I really hope they don't watch me because there's some things that nobody should see.
**Theresa Caputo** (3:43)
I will say, I know this sounds weird, but I do get my best information in the shower. So usually if I'm getting ready for work, but you have to realize you're kind of like at rest in water, I connect with water.
