Welcome back to The Ben Azadi Show. I am your host, Ben Azadi. You can learn more about me over at benazadi.com. When you hear the word wealth, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Probably money, finances.

And while that is one piece of it, it is a very small piece. On today's episode, we're going to dive into the five types of wealth. And unfortunately, most people are only choosing one of these types of wealth. I'm here with the advancing Alex Montalenti. Welcome back to the show.

Alex Montalenti (0:33)

Thanks for having me again.

Ben Azadi (0:35)

This is a good topic right here, because you and I, we're both entrepreneurs. But let's face it, when people hear wealth, they think money, finances, and there's so much more to it.

Alex Montalenti (0:46)

Yeah.

Ben Azadi (0:47)

And I recently did an episode, episode number 1369 on The Ben Azadi Show, where I outlined this book, The Science of Getting Rich, which you and I both love. We have read it, listened to it over and over and over. I get a year straight.

The word rich means rich in happiness, health, relationships. It's very similar to the word wealth. Yeah. And I know in a recent meeting, you and I and our team, you were talking about this wealth, and I'd love for you to explain a little bit more about this idea how it's more than just money.

Alex Montalenti (1:18)

Yeah. It's funny because every time I give somebody the book, The Science of Getting Rich, they go, I'm going to get rich. And I'm like, yeah, just not the way you think you're going to get rich. It's totally different. This is about abundance. It's about having wealth in all the areas of life. And when I ask myself, which I do every morning, how would I define wealth? I come up with a whole list of things. Maybe wealth is having $50 million.

It could be that. But maybe wealth is having relationships. Maybe wealth is having love in my life. Maybe wealth is having my kids. Wealth is having my health. There's so many different ways to define wealth. And I think we've been trained and maybe even brainwashed to think that wealth is a number. It's $50 million. It's a retirement fund. It's reach this revenue goal.

And I think in this episode, we're going to discover that it's way deeper and that we don't have to just measure one thing. We can measure so many areas of life.

Ben Azadi (2:15)

So true, bro. So true. And you know, when we think about wealth, the five types are time wealth, which you outlined here, having control over your time and being able to spend it with who and what matters most. That to me is like one of the most important wealth.

Alex Montalenti (2:31)

And so many of us are prisoners of time.

Ben Azadi (2:34)

Yeah, so we're in fact even more into it. Social wealth, which is the relationships, the family, the close friends, the business partners, you know, being surrounded by a community, people that love you and support you.

Alex Montalenti (2:45)

Yep.

Ben Azadi (2:46)

Mental wealth, we have 60,000 thoughts a day. We want those to be abundant, wealthy thoughts. So curiosity, learning perspective, emotional resilience, having a healthy mind.

Physical wealth, I know you're all about that with working out, I am too. So having physical strength, agility, independence as you age, energy in your life. We're gonna talk about why that's important. And then the last thing here is financial wealth.

Great, but it's not the biggest player here. It's important to have financial freedom options, but it's not the biggest player on this list.

Alex Montalenti (3:18)

Yeah, I think what I think about when you give me this list is my values. And like we've both listened to Dr. John Demartini, he talks about values a lot. And for years, my number one value, even if I could pretend it's something else, it was business and finances. It's like I had these like egoistic goals of where I was going to be in business, where I was going to be in finances.

And then I realized, wait, that's not the best order for me.

And as I got older, I think a lot of people, as you get older, you realize like it's not all about the money, it's not about, that's the wrong mountain. Like I climbed that mountain, I get to the top and I'm like, wait, this isn't the right mountain. Too late, start over. So then it's like, okay, wait, where should I start? And now I have a much more diversified perspective of wealth and I look at it as like holistic. Am I making areas in all, am I making progress in all areas of life? In my time, the use, the value of my time, the use of my time, my relationships, right? Like my relationship with you, I want quality. I don't even need quantity, but you know, us, when we get together, it's quality, not necessarily quantity.
