Darren Miller (0:22)

I'm Darren Miller, and I'm here with Leland Shaw and Casey and Lindsey on Pawsitive Vibes segment, where we give tips and tricks for middle schoolers.

Chloe (0:30)

Now for tips, hydrate well for the sports or just hydrate in general.

Leland Shaw (0:33)

Get good rest for school in the morning.

Darren Miller (0:35)

Make sure to use deodorant and all other hygiene products. Now it's time for the dad joke of the day. What do you call a cold puppy?

Amelia (0:43)

What? A chilly dog.

Leland Shaw (0:48)

Now we're going to pass it over to our special guest team, with special guest choir teacher, Miss Dabbs.

Chloe (0:55)

What's up, Wildcats? We have Miss Dabbs here for a special guest interview. Today's host, we have Chloe and Amelia. Mrs. Dabbs is a show choir instructor. She specializes in band and choir. So Miss Dabbs, why did you want to start show choir?

Mrs. Dabbs (1:07)

I started a show choir when I was at Dodgerage County High School. And so we started there in 2017 And I really liked that opportunity to teach high school students. And so when I came to Lincoln Middle School, I really wanted to introduce something new.

And so show choir was it. So we were super excited. We had probably 30 kids our first year. And then I started doing auditions and we kind of had everybody involved. And then I made it an audition group and then we started competing. We added a band last year. It was a lot of fun. So it's been a great addition to Lincoln Middle.

Chloe (1:40)

Thanks, Ms. Dabbs. Now we're going to roaring at LMS.

Darren Miller (1:45)

Welcome to roaring at LMS. Today you have Kara Hickman.

Chloe (1:48)

And Sasha Cummings.

Darren Miller (1:53)

My first question is what was one of your favorite periods last year?

Mrs. Raikes (1:57)

I liked all of my classes last year. I really enjoyed teaching sixth grade and seventh grade. I had the opportunity to teach seventh grade last year too.

Everybody worked hard. I don't have any complaints. Everyone came in with a good attitude. And I really can't say that one, I had one favorite standout. So everyone was 10 out of 10

Darren Miller (2:20)

My second question is, what was one of your favorite assignments?

Mrs. Raikes (2:24)

One of my favorite assignments was narrative writing. I always like to see what my students can come up with when they are telling stories.

I find it very great and amazing when students come up with really creative ideas. I'm always surprised at what you all can come up with, because I'm not a very fluffy writer myself, and I'm just always impressed by you all.

Darren Miller (2:49)

And now I'm giving the lead to Sasha Cummings.

Chloe (2:52)

You could be any animal. What animal would you be?

Mrs. Raikes (2:56)

I would be a panda, because honestly, growing up, I thought pandas were the cutest, coolest animals ever.

And if you look at panda videos, they're very silly, and they're climbing on things, and they fall down all the time, but they get back up, and they're still, at the end of the day, they're still bears. They're cute and cuddly looking, but they're still a bear. But, so that's why I would choose a panda. I always liked pandas, so I'd go with that.

Chloe (3:24)

Thanks for joining us, Ms. Raikes.

Darren Miller (3:26)

Up next is WildCast Showdown.

Amelia (3:35)

Well, we have two contestants, Mr. Donato and Leland Shaw. Mr. Donato, you're up first.

Mr. Donato (3:45)

Mrs. Raikes (3:47)

Mr. Donato (3:48)
