SPEAKER_1 (0:01)

What's up, Wildcats?

SPEAKER_2 (0:02)

You've turned into the latest episode of Lincoln WildCast, Boo. It's officially spooky season. We've got a wild show lined up for you, and we are joined by special guest, Shinnston City Manager, Tori Drainer. Thanks for joining us. Now let's jump right into Positive Vibes and Knee Slappers.

SPEAKER_3 (0:21)

I'm Cason Lindsay. I'm Darren Miller.

Roman Skidder (0:23)

And I'm Roman Skidder.

SPEAKER_3 (0:24)

And we're on Knee Slappers with a special variation titled Thoughts with Roman. Let's get into it.

Roman Skidder (0:32)

Alright guys, today I want to talk about walls. I don't trust those. One, they, I don't trust them. I just don't. I just don't. I don't know. The three little piggies, they could take down two houses, the wolf can't, but not one, doesn't make any sense. It's just bricks. A sledgehammer could, like, break a wall, and a bear could survive a sledgehammer, and a wolf could survive attack from a bear. Couldn't, like, a wolf take down a brick wall or something. It doesn't make sense to me, to be honest. It really doesn't. Next thing I want to talk about is, like, showers.

I don't trust them. They might, they had diseases. I really don't trust them. They have dumb diseases. But anyways, because the diseases are, the water is from the sewers, and there might be, like, a giant lizard, Spider-Man reference, and there might, like, it might, like, attack me or something. There also might be giant turtles, like, get me with Kung Fu fighting moves. Kung Fu fighting!

Also, Robert Downey Jr., I love you.

SPEAKER_3 (1:39)

We love you, Roman.

SPEAKER_1 (1:41)

Thank you. Now we're gonna kick it over to our special guest team.

Welcome to Special Guest Question 1 We're here with Priya, Kendall, Ashlyn, and the city manager of Shunston, Tori Drainer. What is one of the main things you do to help our town?

Tori Drainer (2:04)

So, I do quite a bit involving Shunston. Working on the roads, the water system, the sewer system, the city parks, planning community events with a huge team, and, you know, running the day-to-day operations.

SPEAKER_2 (2:20)

We'll be back for a question, too. Next up is roaring at LMS.

SPEAKER_6 (2:25)

Welcome back to roaring at LMS. You have Kara, Sasha, and our newcomer, Molly Johnson. Hello.

We have a series of questions to ask Ms. Chenoweth, so let's get to it. So, Ms. Chenoweth, we are all wondering what made you want to teach us kids?

Ms. Chenoweth (2:46)

Hi, guys. Thanks for having me. I decided to be a teacher because I love, I love being around you kids and watching you grow up.

I remember when I first started teaching sixth grade, watching them grow up into seventh grade and eighth grade. It's just fun to see the growth and watch you guys become young adults.

SPEAKER_8 (3:12)

Another question is, what do you do when an experiment fails?

Ms. Chenoweth (3:18)

Oh, wow. Yes, that happens a lot and that's part of science. Science, things go wrong and we learn from our mistakes and we try again, we change variables and do the experiment all over and hope for the best.

SPEAKER_3 (3:34)

Our last question is, what is your favorite frog?

Ms. Chenoweth (3:40)

Oh, I have lots of favorite frogs. You guys know that. I want to say the red spotted tree frog because it's just really pretty with the red spots and it can climb and jump and it kind of looks like it could be scary, but it's really not. So I'm going to go with that.

SPEAKER_6 (4:00)

Well, thanks, Ms. Chenoweth, you did amazing. Now give in the mic to WildCat Showdown.

SPEAKER_2 (4:11)

Welcome to the WildCat Showdown.

SPEAKER_3 (4:13)

Today we have Mr. Marshall and Ms. Kirk to see which history teacher is smarter.

SPEAKER_8 (4:17)

What year did the Titanic go down?

Mr. Marshall (4:21)

1914

SPEAKER_8 (4:23)

That was incorrect.

SPEAKER_1 (4:23)

The year was 1912

SPEAKER_2 (4:26)

Why was the Great Wall of China built?

SPEAKER_1 (4:30)

Why was it built, Mr. Marshall?

Mr. Marshall (4:31)

To keep out the Mongolians.

SPEAKER_1 (4:34)

Correct. Who was the leader of the USSR during World War II?

Mr. Marshall (4:38)

Joseph Stalin.

SPEAKER_1 (4:40)

Correct.

SPEAKER_3 (4:41)

That's it for the WildCat Showdown.

SPEAKER_2 (4:43)

Our winner is Mr. Marshall.

SPEAKER_1 (4:46)

Now we're going to the special guest question too. We're here again with Priya, Ashlyn Kendall, and special guest Tori Drainer for question two.

SPEAKER_2 (4:58)

What city projects are you working on right now?

Tori Drainer (5:01)

So we are actually in the process of installing a dog park at our city park. We're doing a bridge improvement project for the South Shunston Bridge at Gibbies Ice Cream. We are working on a boat ramp to install below the Shunston Bridge.
