SPEAKER_3 (0:52)
Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the special guest segment.
Mrs. Dabbs (0:54)
This week, we have former band director and also the former vice principal here at LMS, Mr. Ellis, here to answer some questions about his former career.
SPEAKER_3 (1:02)
Question one, what inspired you to become a band director?
Jim Ellis (1:05)
I tell you, it was my father's restaurant. I used to wait for him to get off work and it was the Ellis restaurant in Bridgeport.
I would wait for him to get off work and I would go into the supper club. Of course, I wasn't really old enough to be in there, but being the owner's son, I got to go in there and I listened to great bands in there, The Emeralds and there were some very, very great. There was a great country band, Dawn Bartlett and the Country Gentlemen. Dawn Bartlett used to be one of our bus drivers and the guitar player for that group was a bus driver also. Even today, we have bus drivers that are excellent musicians. So I think it all started just watching people making music and I loved it. And then from then on, that was my thing to do. And Dawn Hamilton always gave me this advice. He said, you're never going to break your arm playing your clarinet.
Verity (2:10)
Hey, guys, today you are back with Wearing It LMS and we're going to be talking about what's for lunch this week in the next middle school football game. Monday, chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Tuesday, loaded baked potato with chili and steamed broccoli. Wednesday, pepperoni rolls tossed with salad. Thursday, chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes.
Friday, sloppy Joe's and curly fries.

SPEAKER_3 (3:05)
They each come up with their own jokes to share with the audience.
Lily (3:10)
Here's Mr. Caruso with his first dive joke.
Mr. Caruso (3:15)
What do you call a fish with no eyes?
SPEAKER_1 (3:18)
A fsh. It's time for the first mom joke. Take it away, Mrs. Dabbs.
Mrs. Dabbs (3:23)
What did Mama Tomato say to Baby Tomato?
SPEAKER_1 (3:26)
What? What?
Mrs. Dabbs (3:27)
Catch up.
SPEAKER_1 (3:30)
Here's the second dad joke.
Mr. Caruso (3:33)
What did the custodian say when he jumped out of the closet? Supplies.
Verity (3:38)
Why is it so hard for a pirate to call his mom?
Mrs. Dabbs (3:40)
Why? She left the phone off the hook.
SPEAKER_1 (3:44)
Here's the third joke.
Mr. Caruso (3:46)
A man's out driving around. He gets really hungry. So he goes to a restaurant and goes to the head waiter. The waiter said, I'm sorry, sir, you can't come in. There's a strict dress code. You have to be wearing a tie.
The man gets really disappointed because he looks around in his car, can't find a tie.
So he looks around his trunk. All he can find is a set of jumper cables. So he puts jumper cables, ties them around his neck like a tie, goes back into the restaurant, goes to the head waiter again. Hey, this is all I got. Can I come in? The waiter looks at him and says, Yeah, just don't start anything.
SPEAKER_1 (4:25)
Introducing the last joke.
Mrs. Dabbs (4:27)
Why is a computer so smart? Because it listens to its motherboard.
Lily (4:34)
Make sure to vote on which jokes are best on YouTube or Spotify.
SPEAKER_1 (4:39)
Give it up for Mrs. Dabbs and Mr. Caruso.
