Did I capture a live Mandela effect while recording our last episode? Like, probably not, but maybe you just forgot something. And then we take a look at a terrifying story involving a young child just trying to get some good sleep at his new house. Little did he realize his nightmares were going to provide a clue as to what entities still stalked this home. And then we take a look at the bizarre folklore involving bending over and looking between your own legs. That's ridiculous, Jason. Why would I ever do that? You say. Well, maybe you should. If you want to keep an eye on the demons stalking your every move. Today on Dead Rabbit Radio.
Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of Dead Rabbit Radio. I'm your host, Jason Carpenter. I'm having a great day. Hope you guys are having a great day too. Hope you guys are having tons of fun. First off, everyone get on your feet and give it up for one of our newest Patreon supporters, 12fishandadog.
Woohoo, yeah! Here comes a dog walking in, 12fish in his mouth, but friendly. He's kinda eating them, it's not self-cannibalism. What have you considered self-cannibalism or suicide if you ate yourself? That's a question we should ponder for the rest of the episode. 12fishandadog is one of our newest Patreon supporters. That is why they are gonna be our captains, our pilots this episode. You guys can't support the show financially through the Patreon or the merch store. It's totally fine, it really is. Just helps spread the word about Dead Rabbit Radio. That helps out so much. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone you know. Dead Rabbit Radio is your favorite paranormal show. That is how you can help the show grow. Okay, 12fishandadog, we got one aquarium and one leash. Let's go ahead and attach them together. The dog stuck in Dead Rabbit Radio Command. No, let's give you guys the hair hang glider. Everyone grab on to 12fishandadog as it leaps off the highest point of Dead Rabbit Radio Command and glides us all the way out to The Realm of Make-Believe.
So on yesterday's segment, I tried, I don't even remember why this popped up in my head, but for whatever reason, I was talking about could a cow read a poem in that Finnish folklore segment, I attempted to recite the famous childhood nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle. And it took a couple of attempts, I'm sorry I haven't said it since I was a kid, it was at least like 46 years ago, less than we said it. And even though I took a couple of attempts, you know, Jason, that kind of shoots your argument down if you're trying to save the Mandela effect happen. But I finally got it. Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat in the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon. But then I couldn't remember the connector piece, I couldn't remember the next line. And I just couldn't figure it out, so I made something up and then I said in the dish ran away with the spoon. And so today, I go, I'm going to look that up, and see what Hey Diddle Diddle actually says. And now, what does, like Jason, this isn't a Mandela effect. You're just an idiot. You just don't remember something. When I looked it up online, I go, that's not right. And I tried a couple different sources. I go, well, maybe that's the old timey version. Let me look at a newer version. Look at the Mariah Carey version of it. And so this is how it goes. Jason, we know how everyone's saying it along at the same time. We know how it goes. We knew how it was yesterday. Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat in the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed to see such sport. And the dish ran away with the spoon. I go, that's not how it happened. There was no... I'm not going to say there wasn't a dog laughing in it, but I don't think that's how it went.
I don't think that's how it went at all. So that's the first segment. I just thought that was weird. And I thought it was weird because I completely blanked out on that middle part. When I looked it up, it's completely unfamiliar to me. Even though I couldn't get all the words right yesterday, I knew it started with Diddle Diddle something. Here comes P Diddy into the scene. I knew it started off with the Diddle Diddle and the Cat and the Fiddle, and I knew it ended with the dish running away with the spoon. And I knew the cow jumping over the moon was in it. I knew all those elements were there. I might have not gotten the phrasing right. But the little dog laughed to see such sport, and the dish ran away with the spoon. So is that a true Mandela Effect? Do you guys remember the dog laughing to see such sport? Was it a different animal? Was it a different animal in your reality? Go ahead and send me your emails and your YouTube comments. The Mandela Effect is one of those things that I find very fascinating. We talk actually a lot about it on this show in passing. I'll reference it from time to time. I find it fascinating because it's something that can be chocked up. Like most paranormal experiences, ghosts can be chocked up to grief, dreams of the dead giving you one last message. Ghosts can be talked up to mis-seeing something or not seeing something correctly, a trick of the light could be chocked up to mental illness. A lot of paranormal can be explained, but it can also be explained by the soul does not die when the body does. It can also be explained by the dead visiting us long after their mortal body has been destroyed. So you can kind of look at it both ways. Mandela Effect, I think a lot of it is you remembered stuff wrong. Then other ones are actually like dead on, I know that I experienced that. You know what? Actually, we are going to go a little bit more into this today because I have a Mandela Effect story. Let me pull it up here. I thought this was really interesting. We talked about it recently on the show. This is a very famous Mandela Effect among boomers. Myself included. Because I remember watching this movie on video. I remember watching this movie on video and I remember in the house, me and my family laughing at a particular joke that no longer exists in the movie.
