The Ultimate QB Rankings for 2026 Fantasy Football

We close out our final rankings week with the quarterbacks. I mean, this position is so freaking deep. A lot of strategy is involved here. Like, should you even draft up with your Josh Allens and Lamar Jacksons? And if not, there's some mid-round quarterbacks that really suit our fancy, that catch our eye. Or is it just as simple as like someone falling and whoever falls is one you should select? By the way, we really like Brock Purdy this year. I think he's the most undervalued quarterback in drafts. But on top of that, every single year, there's a late-round quarterback that smashes. Last season, Drake Maye, Daniel Jones, and we give two or three of our favorites to finish they do that this year. So stick around for this episode of Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh and Hayden. Let's talk quarterbacks. I mean, I would say Hayden, the position has never been better than it is right now. That's probably not true. But at least it feels that way for fantasy football where you can go like 24 players and keep with your starters. That makes Super Flex incredibly intriguing this year. So this video is for single and double quarterback leagues out there. Let me just kick it off with Josh Allen at the number one spot for us.
This whole conversation, this whole episode is also going to be a little bit of offensive focus too, along with the individual players.
And that makes sense with Josh Allen where we think his offense is going to change quite a bit. Like since Joe Brady took over as the play caller, they've been 31st, 25th, and 30th in drop back rate. Now Joe Brady's probably going to have his influence on it without Sean McDermott telling him to run the football a bit more. And that might change Josh Allen's scoring from maybe less rushing into more throwing, but that just still is going to make him the quarterback one of.

Yeah, he's been the top three quarterback in four straight seasons, finished the quarterback one in three of those seasons. He's cleared almost 24 fantasy points per game in all of those seasons. So he's just been completely dominant. It doesn't matter which type of offense he's been playing in. He's been in downfield offenses, he's been in this balanced run first offense before. So it hasn't mattered. When I run the math on him, fantasy points over replacement per game and half PPR, he's finished as the 30th, 18th, 30th and 19th overall player. So that's the sweet spot. That's round three for me.
But there are some like indications like that. This could be one of his like better Josh Allen years. They're all awesome. But you add DJ Moore, Dalton Kincaid's healthier. And you have the head coach is now like the guy that he's like best friends with. I could see this being like even more of like a let's just go all Josh Allen to maybe downgrade the James Cook rush attempts per game.

Yeah, most rushing yardage since 2022 for him. He is fifth year in a row of at least 500 rushing yards on the ground. 14 rushing scores his third straight year with at least 12 rushing touchdowns. It's pretty cool.

Pretty good.

He's like the number one red zone quarterback in the NFL now, despite everyone still believing that's Jalen Hurts. It's now Josh Allen.

I think the more interesting conversation is where you should take him. So we have six people at Yahoo doing rankings. I think all of us have a great analysis. We're between 30th and 41st overall across the board. Boon, who always wins the rankings awards, he has him lowest at 41st and most of us have him at 30th overall. So that's the range.

I'm 34, so I'm closer to the end of round three, but on a bunch of home platforms that you use, he's going to go in round two. We've talked about this before where I like the two V2s of the wide receiver that you can get in round two and the quarterback you can get in round nine versus the quarterback that you get in round two and the wide receiver that you get in round nine.

Yep, super deep this year, like beyond deep.

Well, that brings us to Lamar Jackson as the quarterback two. And there's almost like a two round gap between these guys in drafts right now.
Last year was just up and down. We know through four weeks, he had three top five scorers and was quarterback two in overall scoring, but then he missed games with a hamstring injury and other things on top of it. When he returned, he was quarterback 29 And now he goes from Todd Monken calling plays to kind of open up this Lamar 2 to win another MVP. Yeah, very fascinating to see what Declan Doyle does.
