One day, a hero emerged who could vanquish the demon. The young Toad and he was the first of the four heroes. There was a wise Goomba from Boggly Wolf's, gifted in knowledge of the world.

A Koopa went alone wherever evil dwelled and banished it with shell and sheer bravado. The crew used her powerful magic to learn more about the evil they faced. The four heroes thought they had sealed away the demon for good, but the demon used that tiny opening before the seal was complete to curse them all. That door is no ordinary door. It is an interdimensional portal.
