Hi, Lee, welcome to our show.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:01)
Hello, Savannah, welcome to our show.
**Savannah Locke** (0:04)
How's it going?
**Lee C. Camp** (0:05)
It's good. Beautiful, gorgeous day here in the National You have a haircut? I do have a haircut.
**Savannah Locke** (0:10)
You're wearing like resort wear as well, it feels. I'm very into it.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:15)
I was a little bothered by my dear father, who I went to see, my mother and my father last night, and my mother immediately started making comments about how short my hair was. And then my father came over and said, that forehead's getting a little long there, Lee.
**Savannah Locke** (0:29)
Wow.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:29)
So yeah, but no, I think my haircut's okay.
**Savannah Locke** (0:33)
I think it looks great. Do you go to the same person every time?
**Lee C. Camp** (0:36)
I go to the same franchise every time. I don't pay the exorbitant prices that many people do for their haircuts.
**Savannah Locke** (0:47)
Well, I cut my own hair, so I'm totally on board with you on this one.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:50)
You cut your own hair.
**Savannah Locke** (0:51)
And I have my own hair. I can't bring myself to pay for it. I don't know why.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:55)
Yeah, good for you.
**Savannah Locke** (0:56)
Because in other areas, I don't care.
**Lee C. Camp** (0:58)
Yeah.
**Savannah Locke** (0:59)
But in this one, I'm just staunch. Lee, this weekend, I just want to tell you the story so that you know why my voice is kind of in and out. This weekend, my friends who live in New York texted us and said, hey, you should come to New York to a watch party in the West Village to watch the Knicks versus the Spurs.
And within 24 hours, we were in New York.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:25)
You're hilarious.
**Savannah Locke** (1:26)
On Saturday night.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:29)
So you get invited and 24 hours later, you're in New York.
**Savannah Locke** (1:32)
Exactly.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:33)
At a watch party.
**Savannah Locke** (1:33)
For a 24 hour trip.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:35)
You're not at the game.
**Savannah Locke** (1:36)
No, that was in Texas.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:38)
Yeah. You're at a watch party in Manhattan.
**Savannah Locke** (1:40)
Just so we could be there with the energy.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:43)
Yeah.
**Savannah Locke** (1:44)
We were literally 15 feet away from John Stewart, who is also a West Village guy.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:50)
Hilarious.
**Savannah Locke** (1:51)
It was so fun.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:52)
Yeah. Did you speak to John?
**Savannah Locke** (1:53)
It was the best night.
**Lee C. Camp** (1:54)
Did you speak to John?
**Savannah Locke** (1:55)
No, I did yell, I love you, John Stewart, and he went like this back, but we didn't have a conversation. Everyone was yelling, I love you, John Stewart.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:03)
Well, good for you. That sounds fun.
**Savannah Locke** (2:05)
So all that to say, I screamed a lot. And so my voice is going to be in and out, but I'm not ill.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:10)
Oh, got it.
**Savannah Locke** (2:10)
Unless my illness is suddenly being into the NBA.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:13)
Well, that's very exciting.
**Savannah Locke** (2:14)
Yes, it was very fun.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:14)
That's fun.
**Savannah Locke** (2:15)
Lee, any other reviews or anything you want to talk about? Anyone in your inbox lately? Or do you want to just start the show?
**Lee C. Camp** (2:21)
Let's just, no, actually, I want to talk about something completely different.
**Savannah Locke** (2:25)
Tell me.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:26)
I had a great, perfect summer day last week.
**Savannah Locke** (2:30)
Wait, what happened?
**Lee C. Camp** (2:31)
I got up early and I worked for a couple of hours. Then I drove to the airport in Lebanon, Tennessee, and I climbed in with my friend Ben into a 1946 Piper Cub.
**Savannah Locke** (2:45)
Lee, I saw these pictures.
**Lee C. Camp** (2:48)
I asked Ben if we could just fly low up the Cumberland River.
It was the perfect day to fly and it was gorgeous along the river. Until we're flying up the Cumberland River for a long time and then come back. I came home and worked a little more in the afternoon, exercised, napped, and then my wife Laura and I went to get dinner. And then we went to the symphony and for the America of the Beautiful concert. And it was for American composers. And it was just fantastic. It was a fantastic show and like the perfect Nashville summer day.
