You're about to listen to The Late-Round Fantasy Football Show, which originally aired yesterday on YouTube. If you'd like to catch it live, you can find it on The Late-Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel at 1 p.m. Eastern every Friday during this 2025 season. That's on youtube.com/atlateroundff. So without further ado, here's this week's episode.

**David Kitchen** (0:36)
Welcome in, welcome in, it's Late-Round Fantasy Football Show. I'm David Kitchen, the COO, also the guy with the perfectly normal, healthy voice right now.

**JJ Zachariason** (0:49)
It is better, you guys hear this? You can hear, there's still a little bit going on there.

**David Kitchen** (0:54)
Yeah, you're doing a lot better. I do wanna say, by the way, this is JJ Zachariason, you might know him from the Late-Round Podcast.

**JJ Zachariason** (1:03)
Imagine being subscribed to the podcast feed, but not knowing who I am.

**David Kitchen** (1:09)
Someone said in the Discord that they didn't know, I think it was a perspectives episode or whatever it was, that they didn't know which was which. Your voice has been a little weak this week.

**JJ Zachariason** (1:24)
What are you saying which was which?

**David Kitchen** (1:26)
They said that they didn't recognize the voices and they thought something was up with their speakers.

**JJ Zachariason** (1:33)
Oh, you mean they couldn't recognize that I had a screwed up voice?

**David Kitchen** (1:36)
Yeah.

**JJ Zachariason** (1:37)
Yeah, which is crazy to me because I mean even now you can kind of hear the rasp, but yesterday's show was easily, I think, the worst that I had this week.

**David Kitchen** (1:49)
I referenced it to shaky Wi-Fi, like you're just kind of expecting it to go out, but you held on just like people's week 14 teams. I do want to say though I knew this is coming because when we were talking about the possible Gidula hire, and I was like, and what if you get sick during a week? You're like, well, I've never gotten sick.

**JJ Zachariason** (2:12)
No, it's not that I haven't gotten sick.
I have podcasted through COVID.
I know it's inevitable that you will get knocked down, but just like they say in tub thumping, you get up again, I'll get up again. You're never going to keep me down. But no, so I know that I'm-

**David Kitchen** (2:31)
You drink a whiskey drink and a vodka drink? Is that what it was?

**JJ Zachariason** (2:33)
Sometimes it helps. Yeah. Sometimes it helps. But I have not missed a show in the season, aside from holidays and stuff like that. I haven't missed a show in the eight years that I've been doing The Late-Round Podcast, and I hope that that continues for the next 30 I hope that I'm able to... I feel very lucky that even when I had COVID at the peak of COVID, in 2021 or whatever it was, that even then it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't podcast through it. It wasn't fun. Definitely wasn't fun, but I still did podcast through. I do want to read one comment on Spotify that we got today, that I thought was just hilarious. It was from Jordan, and Jordan said, Kitch, so this is to you. Kitch, you couldn't fill in for your boy for one episode, so he doesn't have to come on here sounding like Doc Rivers.
It's very good.

**David Kitchen** (3:29)
That's pretty good. Yeah, you do not want me filling in. I got to say, my role is not to provide content. My role is to be the voice of the normie viewer, the normie listener out there.
So, it would just be like normies leading normies and nobody wants that.

**JJ Zachariason** (3:50)
I do sometimes. I'm not going to lie. The worst part of the podcast for me is actually the delivery part of it, because the fun part for me is the research and coming up with answers and all that kind of stuff. I love it so much, but I'm all done with that by the time I go to record. So, all I have to do is record, and when you're doing it solo, it's not nearly as fun. I love doing this show because you never know what's really going to pop up, and we're having a conversation and stuff. When you're having a conversation with someone else, there's this unpredictability to it where you're doing a show, and you're like, I don't know fully what's going to happen. But when I'm doing the solo show, I know exactly what I'm going to talk about. So, I just wish I could hit a button that maybe AI in five or six years will, maybe even in just a year, I could just hit a button and it would have the same cadence and flow that it typically would. But look, I mean, by the end of me recording, I've talked to Kitchen about this, when I do the solo show, oftentimes I'm sweating because it's just me, and obviously I cut stuff, so it'll be like 25 minutes for a 20-minute show or something like that. And my aura ring will tell me that I've burned like 250 calories after doing a solo show.
