David Kitchen (0:36)
All right, welcome in. JJ, how's it going?
JJ Zachariason (0:39)
It's good, I was just jamming to the intro. Honestly, top three intro in the game, I think.
David Kitchen (0:47)
The intro's fire, everybody loves the intro, too.
JJ Zachariason (0:50)
People hate the Late-Round Fantasy Football Podcast intro that's been around for eight years, as long as the podcast has been around. And I think there would be no controversy for the Late-Round Fantasy Football Show in that intro.
David Kitchen (1:10)
Well, we want to just welcome everybody in, say, hey, hang out with us. If you're hanging out with us live, great. If not, leave a comment, let us know your thoughts on whatever we're talking about today. We've got today's news, we've got today's data, we've got the main event. JJ is going to give another bold call last week. No victory laps here, but last week, JJ, I do want to say that you said two touchdowns for Mark Andrews.
JJ Zachariason (1:41)
Yeah, big L. I mean, turns out, he is dust. But look, he started really slow last year, and again, we talked about this, how everyone pointed to that car accident that he was in, and that was the reason why he was starting slow. But maybe it's just his body getting ramped up, and then he'll eventually just score a ton of touchdowns like he did last year.
David Kitchen (2:03)
We'll see.
JJ Zachariason (2:06)
I fortunately wasn't really high or low on him entering the year, so it's just kind of whatever to me.
David Kitchen (2:10)
And I know you're going to want me to say it, and yes, you did. Your other bold prediction was a Detroit Lions 40 burger.
JJ Zachariason (2:16)
I got that wrong too, because they had a 50 burger.
David Kitchen (2:18)
They had 50 Yeah. So just try harder, I guess, is what we're trying to say. JJ, I want to say thanks to our sponsor DraftKings for sponsoring the show, for sponsoring the whole best ball season. You can scan the QR code and get the free $5 ticket in there if you're new. And we appreciate you, DK. And JJ, as far as this week goes, it just seems like every, I don't know, maybe this week, maybe this year, because I'm more in tune with the season-long fantasy football. But week three is like serious panic mode. We see, I saw at least like 20 memes about O and two fantasy football teams this year.
JJ Zachariason (3:07)
There's a lot of panicking. I think that there's just more and more panicking as the years go on, because people like to get upset about more and more things as the years go on. And there's more opportunity to get upset about things and to panic about things and to not just be level-headed, Zen-ed out a little bit. It's not the end of the world. You're going to be okay. There's a lot of ways to make your fantasy football team better, and that's what I'm here for.
David Kitchen (3:31)
Okay. All right. If people are O and two, just know it's going to get better. My teams are like, most of my teams like one-on-one.
JJ Zachariason (3:43)
I don't have a single O and two team right now.
David Kitchen (3:46)
Hey, it's good.
JJ Zachariason (3:47)
Yeah. I'm feeling pretty good.
David Kitchen (3:49)
A lot of O and two teams out there have like Rashi Rice on the squad. Yeah. Maybe a little Chris Godwin, but people are panicking. We're here to help you get through that. With that being said, JJ, let's get on to today's news. Today's fantasy news.
All right. Agwuka is the first one. Emeka Agwuka, he's back at practice, JJ.
JJ Zachariason (4:18)
Yes. Thank goodness. That's my reaction to that with one S. You know what? I'm not even going to fix that typo. I hit enter before the second S. It's just thank goodness right now. Yeah. I mean, look, I've seen a lot of takes with Agwuka as a cell candidate and Andy Barron's actually brought it up on yesterday's perspectives episode. I do think that it's a reasonable take to just see what you could fetch for Agwuka. My hesitation in doing it is that I think he's very, very good. You know what? I got to fix this S. I got to add the S to goodness. It's driving me nuts.
